The World Needs More Outside Thinkers. That’s why we’re finding new ways traditional technology can help in everyday life!
An ultrasound is commonly used in the medical world to look at organs or for parents to see how their future child is looking in the womb. But in Breanna Krueger’s Communication Disorders Lab, they are using the scanner to help children with their communication skills. Held under the chin, the ultrasound gives the child visual feedback on what their mouth and tongue are doing to pronounce a word. If they are saying it incorrectly, students such as Kyleigh Hiser can use the display to show how its supposed to be pronounced by adjusting their mouth and tongue
Pretty cool, huh?
