🧠 Whoa! New research shows your body makes a natural cleaner—called ketones—that can actually grab onto sticky Alzheimer's plaques and help your brain sweep them away. 🧽✨

Best part? You can boost ketones by simply eating healthier fats and giving yourself a 10-12-hour overnight fast.

No expensive drug required. Just smart eating.

👉 Save this for a loved one. And always check with your doctor first.

Cytodyn's (CYDY) Leronlimab, a monoclonal antibody CCR5 receptor antagonist, is a platform drug with potential in a variety of indications in solid-tumor oncology.

A new study is scheduled on Leronlimab for Alzheimer’s Disease.

What is this study about?
Researchers at Weill Cornell Medicine are testing whether leronlimab, a drug used in other conditions like HIV and certain cancers, is safe for people with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) or mild cognitive impairment (MCI) due to AD. This is the first time leronlimab is being tested in Alzheimer’s.

🎯 Main Goals of the Study
Check safety:
Is leronlimab safe and well‑tolerated in people with Alzheimer’s or MCI?

Check the effect on brain inflammation:
Does leronlimab reduce neuroinflammation, which is believed to play a role in Alzheimer’s progression?

👥 Who Will Participate?
20 adults, age 50+, with biomarker‑confirmed mild to moderate Alzheimer’s or MCI.

Participants must be able to complete cognitive tests and have a study partner.

People with certain medical conditions, MRI/PET contraindications, or specific infections (HIV, active hepatitis B/C) are excluded.

💉 What Will Participants Do?
Participants will receive:

Leronlimab 700 mg, once weekly for 12 weeks, either at the clinic or at home.

They will also undergo:

PET scans and MRI scans before and after treatment to measure brain inflammation.

Blood tests to check inflammation markers and Alzheimer’s‑related proteins.

Cognitive tests and questionnaires.

Weekly phone check‑ins to monitor side effects.

ECG and physical exams.

📊 What Outcomes Are Being Measured?
Primary Outcome
Change in whole‑brain inflammation after 12 weeks, measured using a PET tracer that detects microglial activation (TSPO).

Secondary Outcomes
Number and severity of treatment‑emergent side effects.

Number of serious adverse events.

🧪 Study Design
Phase: 2a

Type: Single‑arm, open‑label (everyone gets the drug; no placebo group)

Location: New York, NY

Estimated timeline:

Start: April 2026

Completion: November 2027

🔍 Why This Matters
If leronlimab is found to be safe and shows signs of reducing brain inflammation, it could lead to larger trials testing whether it can slow cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s disease.
Right now, this use of leronlimab is experimental and not FDA‑approved.

My fellow Family Caregivers, I want to speak from the heart about the video of the 92‑year‑old woman with dementia.

Even though I gave CTTO and Facebook already notified me that the video can’t be monetized because the original owner claimed full rights, my only intention was simple — to share joy, hope, and inspiration with all of you.

I never wanted credit.
I never wanted income from it.
I only wanted people to feel something beautiful.

But since the owner is actively blocking the content, I have to remove it.
And honestly… it breaks my heart a little.

Social media was created so we could share stories, wisdom, and moments that remind us of our humanity.
Somewhere along the way, competition for likes, ownership, and visibility changed the landscape.
But even if it saddens me, I will always choose respect.

Here at Aging Happily, our purpose has never been about monetization.
I built this community to honor our seniors, to support family caregivers, and to share the lessons I’ve learned from 30 years of serving in healthcare — lessons I will continue to share for as long as I am able.

This group is one of the ways I give back.
And whether our views are big or small, whether the engagement is high or quiet, this page will stay true to its mission:
to offer stories, knowledge, and encouragement that can lift someone’s spirit, guide a caregiver, or remind a family that they are not alone.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this community, and to those who continue to walk with us.
Your presence means more than numbers ever could.

We will keep going — gently, honestly, and with purpose.

“The Line Between Love and Exhaustion”
Caregiving is love…but it’s also exhaustion, fear, and emotional survival.
Where are you on that spectrum today — closer to love, or closer to exhaustion?

04/25/2026

What’s one thing you wish people understood about your daily reality as a caregiver — but almost no one ever does?
(Your answer might help someone else feel less invisible.)

04/25/2026

“For a family caregiver, imagining the end feels like standing at the edge of a storm you wish you could stop. Naming an ‘end’ means naming a goodbye — and sometimes love means letting go when holding on would only prolong the suffering. The heart resists that horizon for as long as it can.”
