O & G - WHCA, PA O&G WHCA, PA is an OB/GYN Practice that is here to provide the highest quality women's health service. Celso A. Rodriguez, M.D. He served there as Chief Resident.

Dr. Rodriguez is Board Certified in OB/GYN and joins the Medical Staff of Laredo Medical Center from Ponce, Puerto Rico. He graduated with his medical degree from Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of the Havana, Cuba, and completed is residency at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Dr. Rodriguez Bermudez received further training at the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology in Cuba, and is further trained in Advanced Techniques in Laparoscopic Surgery. Located in Laredo Medical Center 1710 E. Saunders St., Ste. B490

Omar Perez-Rodriguez, M.D. Dr. Perez is Board Certified in OB/GYN. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, MX. He then continued with his residency program in Ob/Gyn at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. During his residency training, Dr. Perez participated in programs which provided medical services to underprivileged women who sought preventative screenings such as PAP smears, breast exams and family planning. Dr. Perez is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American College of Physicians.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, a time to reflect, remember, and honour the precious lives lost too soon. One way families are choosing to commemorate their babies is through the gentle and poignant symbol of the white pumpkin.

White pumpkins, with their soft and calming presence, have become a symbol of loss, hope, and remembrance. Their pale colour represents purity, innocence, and the fragility of life. For parents grieving the loss of a child, these pumpkins serve as a beautiful reminder of their little ones, whose memories live on in their hearts.

By placing white pumpkins on altars, at gravesites, or even in homes, parents are finding comfort in a simple yet meaningful gesture that speaks volumes about the love they hold for their children. It's a way to publicly acknowledge their grief while celebrating the brief but cherished moments they had with their babies.
