In Loving Memory of Rosario Garcia๐๏ธ
Rosario Perez Garcia, 83, of Laredo, Texas, went home to be with our Lord on September 1, 2025. She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
Rosario was born on October 5, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas, to Emilio Perez and Consuelo Perez Martinez. She was the eldest of her siblings. A lifelong resident of Laredo, she attended Martin High School and Laredo Junior College. Throughout her life, Rosario worked diligently. In her early years, she was employed in retail, and later retired from Penske Logistics as a data entry clerk.
She enjoyed gardening, caring for her home, and playing bingo in her spare time. Rosario faced health challenges with breast and kidney cancer, but her strength and faith never wavered. She lived a simple life filled with Godโs blessings and will always be remembered as a survivor, a caring mother, and a loving grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her son, Guillermo Garcia; her husband, Guadalupe J. Garcia; her mother, Consuelo Perez Martinez; and her brother, Luis Perez.
She is survived by her siblings, Graciela (Jesusโ๏ธ) Santos, Victoria (Armando) Fuentes, Emilio (Sandraโ๏ธ) Perez, Francisco (Elizabeth) Perez, and Jorge (Ana) Perez; her children, Gerardo Garcia, Jaime (Nelda) Garcia and Melissa J. Garcia and the father of her children, Agustin Garcia; her grandchildren, Ashley Ann (Danny) Garcia, Guillermo Garcia Jr., Michael (Ada) Garcia, Joseph A. (Daniela) Garcia, Nora (Fernando) Garcia, Justin J. (Dori) Fuentes, Francisco G. (Arlina) Fuentes, Aaron A. Fuentes and Michelle J. Sanchez. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Maria Alejandrina Secunza Ramirez, a dear family friend, who lovingly cared for Rosario until her final moments. Special gratitude is also extended to Vara Hospice, especially Stephanie Cazares, RN, and Mary Gutierrez, LVN, for their guidance, kindness, and compassionate care during Rosarioโs final journey. Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, September 7, 2025, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Sanchez Funeral Home, 1402 Santa Ursula. A prayer service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Monday, September 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sanchez Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Laredo Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
