Our very own LCSW and Executive Director of ICMS is part of the State Emergency Response Team and has been helping to give back to the community of the affected areas from Hurricanes Debbie and Milton.
Mirta has connected with Capacity Path Community Crisis Stabilization Task Force to aid in offering immediate relief and optimizing resource use to help communities recover effectively after disasters.
ICMS would like to thank all of our clients for their patience and understanding during the past month, through these storms.

ICMS is proud to offer evidence-based online group therapy sessions catered to our clients’ needs. Some of these groups have been centered on self esteem, grief and anger.

Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy that is provided by our mental health professionals that typically focuses on a specific topic that allows participants to engage with one another and share their experiences. It’s an intervention that allows for support, community and connection.

Gratitude can increase your happiness and wellbeing, life satisfaction, even overall health while decreasing the stuff we all want less of like anxiety, depression, and anger. It can be a powerful practice to cultivate.

Practicing gratitude can boost your mood, and improve your overall mental health. Gratitude can boost neurotransmitter serotonin and activate the brain stem to produce dopamine. It helps train your brain to notice and appreciate the little things in life and, in doing so, shifts your life experience tremendously.

Happy Monday! This day of the week can be dreadful to some as it is the start to the work week for most people. However, Mondays do not have to be a reason for feeling down! Let Mondays be the day you reset your week. Here are Seven Positive Things to Try this Week.
When our week is broken down into smaller portions (i.e. into individual days), the week does not seem as overwhelming and you can have something to look forward to. ICMS encourages you to try even a handful of the ideas listed to see how this can positively impact you.
