Brain Tumor Awareness Month is a time to come together and fight for something much greater than ourselves. Unfortunately, the current standard of care for brain tumor patients isn't working. With few effective drugs available, patients face an uphill battle and are often given only a few months to live. This is where Brain Tumor Awareness Month comes in, as it is dedicated to finding new and effective ways to treat this devastating disease. It's a movement that aims to inspire, educate, and raise awareness, with the ultimate goal of finding a cure.

But how can you make a difference in the fight against brain tumors? It all starts with spreading the word. During Brain Tumor Awareness Month, take some time to educate yourself and others on primary and secondary brain tumors. Share stories of those affected by the disease and highlight the incredible strength and resilience shown by those in the community. Let's raise awareness so that more people can be diagnosed early and receive the best possible care.

Did you know that an estimated 93,470 people in the U.S. were diagnosed with a primary brain tumor in 2022? Despite this staggering number, the median survival rate for patients with glioblastoma, the most common primary brain tumor, is only 8 months, and the five-year relative survival rate is only 6.8%. Shockingly, the survival rate of patients with glioblastoma has not substantially improved in the last 30 years, and there is only one FDA-approved drug for glioblastoma with a survival benefit.

There's so much to learn and share during Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Get involved and help fight the good fight.

Since it’s Skin Cancer Awareness month we wanted to share some useful tips!

Did you know that UV radiation from the sun can cause skin cancer and premature aging? And guess what, it can sneakily pe*****te through clouds and glass, and even bounce off snow, water, and sand, leaving you exposed! But don't worry, we've got you covered with some fun, informative, and effective tips to protect your skin:

- Seek shade between 10 AM and 4 PM
- Avoid getting sunburned
- Steer clear of tanning beds and excessive exposure to the sun
- Wear protective clothing like a broad-brimmed hat and UV-blocking sunglasses
- Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher daily, and reapply every two hours or after swimming or sweating
- Keep infants under six months out of direct sunlight and use sunscreen on babies over six months
- Give yourself a head-to-toe skin check every month
- Get a professional skin exam with a dermatologist at least once a year

Follow these steps to prevent skin cancer and keep your skin healthy and glowing.
