Happy Easter—Happy Resurrection Day!
Our Redeemer lives!

Seeing the empty tomb when we visited Israel in December brought a wave of emotions. The Presence of God was strong. His peace overflowing is us as we looked inside the tomb with wonder. Maybe, the same wonder as the disciples and women who followed Jesus, peeking into an empty tomb, had on that Sunday morning thousands of years ago. God sent His only Son to die for us, defeat death, conquer sin, and redeem us! Eternal Life is ours, to live with Him forever!

Today we celebrate what He did for us and what He did for all mankind. He Lives!

Matthew 28:6. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Holy Saturday - it’s really quiet.
“In our waiting, God does His most divine work. Holy Saturday’s silence is God crafting our salvation.” – Unknown

Silence on earth can be deafening. To our spiritual self, it becomes a hard wait for God’s redemption. We humans do not like silence…while waiting. Anxiousness and stress can, and often does, take over our peaceful minutes.
The disciples ate with Jesus, watched him get crucified and hang on a cross, be buried in a tomb, and then…silence. Stressful and fearful moments of “what now?”
Today is the most silent day of Holy Week. Waiting. In Silence.
How will you spend your day? We hope it is a day of reflection in your silent moments, knowing that Jesus is up to something. Just wait to see what He has planned for you!

Good Friday, Holy Friday

If we think about what happened on this day thousands of years ago, it doesn’t seem good that we give this day to honor the crucifixion of Jesus. His death was wretched, painful and cringeworthy. Yet—He did this for us!

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~~ Romans 5:8

As Phil Wickham sings in his song, Sunday is Coming, “Friday is good because Sunday is coming.”
Will you stop for a moment during your day today and thank Jesus for His ultimate sacrifice?

Reflection for Easter:
Maundy Thursday, Holy Thursday, The Last Supper

Will you dine with Him today?

Matthew 26:26-28
26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
