🏈📚 Back to School & Back to Sports! 🏐🍂

As kids head back to class, many are also jumping back into fall sports—from football and volleyball to cross country and cheer. It’s an exciting time, but also a high-risk season for injuries if the body isn’t prepared.

Here are a few injury prevention tips to help athletes stay in the game:

✅ Warm up properly before practices and games
✅ Don’t skip the cool down—stretch those muscles!
✅ Stay hydrated and fuel your body with healthy foods
✅ Listen to your body—don’t push through pain
✅ Focus on proper form and technique

If a nagging pain or strain shows up, don’t ignore it. We help student-athletes recover quickly and safely—and build strength to prevent future injuries.

📚🍎 Back to School Means Back to the Desk! 🪑✏️

As teachers gear up for a new school year, don’t forget to take care of yourself too—especially when it comes to your workstation setup! Long hours at a desk can lead to neck, back, and shoulder pain if ergonomics aren’t on your side.

Here are some quick tips to keep your body feeling great all school year long:

✅ Chair height: Feet flat on the floor, knees at hip level
✅ Screen position: Top of your monitor should be at eye level
✅ Keyboard & mouse: Keep elbows at a 90° angle and wrists straight
✅ Take breaks: Stretch, walk, or change positions every 30–60 minutes

Small adjustments make a BIG difference when it comes to posture and comfort!

Feeling achy or noticing new pain as the year kicks off? We’re here to help. We work with educators to prevent and relieve discomfort so you can focus on your students—not your back.

🎒 Is Your Backpack Hurting Your Back? 🧠📚

You’re not alone —
🔹 79% of people say their backpacks feel too heavy
🔹 66% feel fatigued carrying them
🔹 46% report back pain from the load

Improper backpack use can lead to lasting pain and posture problems. But small changes can make a BIG difference! 👇

✅ Choose a backpack that doesn’t extend past your shoulders
✅ Adjust the straps so the bottom rests in the curve of your lower back
✅ Pack the heaviest items closest to your spine
❌ Never one-strap it—use both straps to balance the weight!

Ignoring these signs can lead to chronic neck, shoulder, or back pain. If pain is lingering, we’re here to help. Our team can guide you in pain relief, posture correction, and safe backpack habits.

📅 Don’t wait—book an appointment today and feel the difference. 620-792-7868
