URANUS, NORTH NODE AND MARS CONJUNCTION ON AUGUST 1, 2022
Hi, again, my lovely friends,
I last wrote about the New Moon in Leo on the 28th of July 2022. This new moon was leading up to the big conjunction that all astrologers have been talking about between Uranus and the North Node, which is exact today. Then closely following that, Mars comes to join these 2 tomorrow, on the 1st of August at 18 degrees 41 minutes of Ta**us. The Sabian symbol for 19 degrees Ta**us is “a newly formed continent." Think about those words! What first came to my mind was “Earth Changes!” This is a once in a lifetime event and will have significant impact on us individually, as well as globally. We are at a time of major societal shifts (and planetary shifts) so hang on for the ride! Most all empaths or sensitives will already be feeling this energy! You will want to look at where 18 degrees 41 minutes falls in your own natal chart to determine where you can expect these major changes to take place.
What exactly does this mean? Well, Uranus is a slow-moving planet (it has been in the sign of Ta**us since 2018) so its effects are felt for a significant amount of time. Uranus is the planet of revolution, independence, rebellion, innovation, electricity, breakdowns and breakthroughs. It is a planet of sudden eruptions, disruptions, and surprises. As Ta**us is an earthy planet, and Uranus rules earthquakes and volcanoes, expect more of these. Uranus also rules electricity so we can expect things like lightning storms that will trigger wildfires (Mars), as we are seeing now.
The North Node (Rahu) is not a planet but one of the nodes of the moon. The nodes are where the moon crosses the ecliptic, which is the path of the sun. The North Node reflects the karma of the planet and all of its inhabitants. It tends to expand whatever energy it comes into contact with.
Mars is the planet of energy, war, riots, aggression and defensiveness. Mars is a very fast-moving planet, but when it is in Ta**us, it is being forced to slow down and think before acting. This is hard for Mars to do. Mars feels a strong pressure to change things quickly, but this transit asks you to make wise decisions in terms of your relationships and resources in order to assure that they are sustainable. Think before you act!
Ta**us rules values, resources (money) and relationships. It is a very stable, earthy energy. So, when these energies come together in the sign of Ta**us, you can expect major unexpected and disruptive occurrences in all of these areas. These are the biggies to me – money and relationships! As we are dealing with the North Node, which is our planetary karma, these energies will not only affect us personally, but globally, as well. For example, we can expect volatility in the financial markets, and disruption in the food chain and government distribution centers all over the world, as Ta**us also deals with food and agriculture. This has already been happening, if you think about the problems with the grain getting where it is supposed to go from Ukraine. Uranus also deals with air travel, so know that, if you choose to travel through the end of the year, you will probably be dealing with cancellations and other types of disruptions.
Expect people to feel defensive and insecure about their relationships and their finances now, as these are the areas we are karmically dealing with. Mars will energize these areas and could cause a lot of anger and anxiety and relationship flare-ups around these issues. However, on the positive side, we can also expect a lot of innovation, as well, This can be good or bad. For example, some innovation can be quite harmful, as in the genetically modified foods we are eating! But medical breakthroughs and new inventions in all areas of science and medicine will also be very welcome under these new influences.
Much good will come of this overall. Pretty much everything is being overhauled in order to let go of the things and relationships that are not working for our highest good, Ta**us is all about stability and security so sometimes we need to change what is not working in order to provide a more stable and secure future for ourselves and our families. And on a global level, we as countries and peoples must come together as a unit to solve these problems as we are all connected in a divine way. The time for change is NOW! We must get used to the fact that momentous change is upon us collectively and things will never be the same again. Are we selfishly slaving away to make more money and have more things and be more famous or important? Are we motivated more by money and resources? Or perhaps by other things of great value? Things like art, music, nature, integrity, compassion, self-esteem, confidence, the desire to help others? We are all being asked to reflect upon and change, if necessary, what we perceive to be of value. Change is inevitable and resisting it is futile. It is always best to go with the tide and to not fight against it! Just try to be as prepared as possible.
This transit has also triggered the Saturn Uranus square of 2020. This is also big as Saturn is a karmic planet and it rules governments and big business. A square is a very difficult flow of energy between two planets. Again, as Uranus rules sudden and unexpected disruption, you can expect many governments to begin to experience changes in leadership, rebellions and riots, and possibly even assassinations! We are already seeing this across the world. There is much unrest everywhere and several leaders have been forced to step down, or have even been assassinated (UK, Sri Lanka, Italy, Japan)! Expect more to come, unfortunately! Governments that do not work for their people will be called to atone and make things right.
Everything has a plan. When planets come together in certain types of relationships to each other, their purpose is to lead us to change things that are not working for the highest good of the planet and the people upon it. Often, these lead to exceedingly difficult experiences, but ultimately, if the lesson is learned, one can see the value of the experience upon looking back.
No doubt about it, this can be an intense time. However, this can also be exciting for those of you who are risk takers. The signs that will feel and resist the changes most, are the fixed signs, Ta**us, Scorpio, Leo and Aquarius, as they are very slow to accept change! These signs must take a deep breathe and realise that this change is inevitable and to resist it will only make it more difficult.
The effects of these 3 energies together will be felt most strongly from the 22nd of July through around the 15th of August when Mars has left the group. However, Uranus will stay within a few degrees of the North Node for the remainder of 2022 and into February of 2023. So, we will be under these energies through the end of this year. Uranus rules rebellion and riots and we can expect more of these as we move closer to the mid-term elections in Nov in the US. This has been building for a long time and we are now moving to the escalation point of some of these energies. But always remember that it is darkest before the dawn.
How best can we deal with the revolutionary and monumental change that is occurring now – this Tower Moment? My advice is to not allow yourselves to be drawn into the collective anger and fear as many will be taking to the streets in violence and frustration as we draw closer to the end of the year. Keep your protection around you and trust that, no matter how difficult this may be, there is a higher purpose to what is occurring now and know that “This too shall pass!”. Just try to make any necessary adjustments to the areas where this stellium falls in your chart (18 degrees 41 minutes of Ta**us), where the shake-up is most likely to occur, or rather, where your newly formed continent will appear!
