Teen Spectrum Social is a monthly group where teens ages 13–17 who have autism — or suspect they may be on the spectrum — can connect with peers, have fun, and make new friends in a supportive environment. Each month, the group meets at a different location to explore new activities and capture a wide range of interests, helping participants build confidence, social skills, and community connections. Psychologists from our team, Dr. Ann Branscum and Dr. Marybeth Graham, had the honor of presenting today at the Parent University, a conference to equip families with knowledge, resources, and tools to navigate special education services and supports. Parent University was facilitated by the New Mexico Public Education Department in partnership with the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department and the New Mexico Higher Education Department.
