About the Facilitators
Earl Cason, LMHC
Earl holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from New Mexico State University and brings a holistic approach to therapy that honors the mind-body-spirit connection. His work integrates mindfulness, narrative therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and multicultural awareness, with a neurodivergence-affirming lens. Earl has experience supporting individuals, couples, and families in the areas of trauma, social justice, and the therapeutic uses of psychedelics. Prior to his counseling career, Earl worked as an electrical engineer with the U.S. Air Force and NASA.

Joaquin Orozco, MS
Joaquin is a counselor and educator with a Master’s in Nutrition. He supports individuals, couples, and groups navigating substance use disorders, grief, anxiety, body image, toxic masculinity, and sexual health. Joaquin has taught in the Psychology Department at the University of New Mexico and presented at Harvard Law School, the National Latinx Psychological Association, and other national forums. A military veteran and father, Joaquin integrates scientific understanding with lived experience to foster deep healing.

This 8-week online men’s group is designed for New Mexican men, ages 30–50, who want to deepen self-understanding, challenge harmful stereotypes, and strengthen relationships. September 25 – November 13 This group is limited to 10 participants. Includes 2–3 one-on-one sessions.

🚨 Big News in Psilocybin Policy Reform 🚨

The DEA has officially taken a major step toward rescheduling psilocybin, requesting a full scientific and medical review by federal health officials. This follows years of legal advocacy led by Dr. Sunil Aggarwal and the AIMS Institute, pushing for access to psilocybin-assisted therapy for patients in palliative care.

If psilocybin is moved from Schedule I to Schedule II, it could unlock access under Right to Try laws—particularly for terminally ill patients and veterans suffering from PTSD.

With psilocybin already designated a “breakthrough therapy” by the FDA and backed by growing clinical research, there’s real momentum toward change.
