All my Las Cruces fam and friends, no human in our community should be cold this fall/winter! Please take some time to donate hoodies, jackets, sweaters, hats, gloves, etc. to Community of Hope or any other direct to client organization. There are currently over local 100 families that are unhoused and living in their vehicles, family’s garages, or temporary housing.
Let’s help send these kids to school with clean clothes. I’m BLESSED beyond belief and while I’ve been broke many times, I’ve never had to think of shampoo as a luxury. Some of these single mothers are just one more check away from having their damage deposits and first months rent, and are praying that they will have permanent shelter for the upcoming holidays.
Goodwill will also let you purchase vouchers that you can donate.
One beautiful young mother (works for our public school system, recently homeless due to divorce and 6 months pregnant) is sleeping in her SUV and gets up 2 hours early to shower at the gym and be to work at 730am just found a sponsor to pay her damage deposit and gets to move in her new apartment November 1!
Donate your time, services (I’m looking at you my fellow healers), clothes or gas cards. People need people 🤲
