Aprendamos Family of Services was proud to be the game sponsor for the January 10th NMSU Men's Basketball game! 🏀 Our Chief Operating Officer, Celina Garcia, and Chief Experience Officer, Grace Legarreta, accepted the game ball on behalf of Aprendamos. The game also paid tribute to the late legendary Coach Lou Henson.

A new article from The74 says it’s not just time, it’s also tech. Screens are everywhere. For many young parents, reading feels like school, not fun.

Meet Alisha Badhan, Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine Mission Medicine Student Doctor. 🌟 Originally from Pittsburg, CA, Alisha is committed to making an impact through her work. “For me, diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility are some of the most valuable tenets required when serving underserved populations in medicine,” she shared. “It is integral to be aware of the barriers that affect each patient population to provide them with the best care possible. As a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I aim to work towards bridging cultural gaps in medicine by gaining knowledge, clinical skills, and experiences that can help mitigate the inequities experienced by patients.” 👩‍⚕️

Alisha also hopes that her time spent with Aprendamos as a Mission Medicine Student Doctor will give her opportunities to further develop the competencies needed to serve communities like ours. "At Aprendamos Family of Services, I hope to gain the skills necessary to be a compassionate and skilled provider. I value working directly with our diverse communities and getting the opportunity to provide one-on-one care,” she said. ✨
