Celebrating día de las Ánimas with an Ancestral Lineage Healing Session of Courtesy.
Book on Nov 2nd/3rd to receive a courtesy Ancestral Lineage healing session on any day of November that is available in my calendar.

I literally owe my life and that of my child to my ancestors and these Ancestral Lineage Healing Sessions that helped me have a framework for connecting to them. Do you have a framework? Then the sessions will help you go deeper into your connection. But if you don't, and you feel the desire in your heart, please try them.

I hope my offering can bring you peace and resourcefulness at times of sadness and confusion. But also, I hope it can ignite the flame of curiosity for what's within yourself if you're riding the waves of flow and gratitude instead.

Visit my website and book! Or share with someone who can benefit from this offering.

Gracias! 🙏🏾

Do you know our ulterior motives? 👀

We want our peoples to be born in peace, in full connection to themselves, their ancestral wisdom, and their inner power. In a system that benefits from isolation, ignorance, and powerlessness, that's some serious undertaking!

It is clear that how we are born determines our ways of living and dying. We birthkeep because it's the most powerful and straightforward way to dignify our peoples, to bring healing to our ancestors, our families, and communities.

Let's birthkeep our memories together! RSVP for our opening session/potluck brunch on my link in bio.

3 realities that affect negatively the birth experiences of Latinxs living in the US:

1. Lack of connection to self, to the ancestors, and the territory: The wound of colonialism, extreme violence, removal from our ancestral territories, genocide, and systemic abuse has severed our relationship to the sacredness of our self, the wisdom of our ancestors, and the abundance of our precious land.

2. Lack of community: Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are a community event. Newly created, or expanding families require lots of support, presence, and care. However, most of our people experience isolation, high levels of stress, and sometimes lack support altogether because the ways of living systemically imposed on them make it hard to find true and long-lasting connections that support community life.

3. The colonialist and illness-centered approach to health: Because the “health” approach of hospitals and care providers is mainly focused on illness, people's biological normalcy, their trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and even their feelings are often turned into pathologies that need to be diagnosed, treated, and medicated. Without personal, communal, and ancestral awareness of the uniqueness of their journey, our people often fall prey to the scientific approach that denies, mocks of, criminalizes, and destroys the spiritual connection to our bodies, our belief system, our ancestral wisdom, and indigenous technologies to promote a healthy and pleasurable birth experience.

I met Victoria from in our Trauma Informed Care Training with . After having a heartfelt conversation and identifying the main causes for the disparities that our families (People of all origins who speak Spanish) go through during their birth experience, we joined efforts to create a program that could bring traditional care both as a way to prevent abuse and as container of healing from systemic trauma.

Chichiltikcueitl, we called it. It means falda roja (red skirt) in Nahualt, Victoria's ancestral language, because that day, our ancestors moved us to dress in a red skirt so that we could recognize each other... Red is the ceremonial color of my grandmothers, red in Nahualt Chichiltik contains nourishment and breast, Cueitl makes reference to the mother goddess Coatlicue, Tonantzin.

I'll be posting more about our program soon. In the meantime, please check my link in bio to read more about it and RSVP for our potluck/open session that's happening on June 22nd, 2024.
