Giving is great when it’s kind to both the giver and the receiver of the gift. If our tanks are near empty, giving to another is not kind to ourselves. That’s not being selfish. It’s being balanced. The word “no” or phrase “not right now, but after I recharge” are very difficult to say when we’re not used to saying it. It does get easier as we get used to it. So when we’re feeling generous, we have to make sure we have given to our own self care, so giving to another beautiful soul is kind to us both. 🥰
