Last weekend, our Reno liaison, Austin, made a special guest appearance as The Grinch at one of Northern Nevada’s assisted living facilities. Even in full Grinch mode, he couldn’t help but spread smiles and holiday cheer to the residents. 💚🎄

Last week, 1Care Kids partnered with Race 2 Erase 22 to share holiday kindness across our community. 💙

Thanks to the generosity of Race 2 Erase 22 and the leadership of Debbie Burgos, toys were donated to the children served by 1Care Kids, and warm socks and blankets were provided to Veterans cared for by 1Care Hospice.

A special thank you to Desirae Santiago and Denise Page for helping ensure these gifts reached those who needed them most.

We are truly grateful for this meaningful partnership and the continued support of both our children and our Veterans.

This past Sunday, our Veteran Services Coordinator, Denise Page, honored three Air Force Veterans from the Vietnam War era with pinning ceremonies and patriotic quilts handmade by “Aunt” Nancy Wells.

At 1Care Hospice, we proudly support the We Honor Veterans program and are committed to recognizing every Veteran’s service through meaningful ceremonies and ongoing education about the VA benefits they have earned. ❤️🤍💙

🎉💙⭐️ Honoring Mr. Howard Cohen — 100 Years Young! ⭐️💙🎉
Today we proudly celebrated Mr. Howard Cohen’s 100th birthday. Wrapped in a patriotic quilt, he shared memories of his WWII service in the U.S. Army, where he helped coordinate care for wounded soldiers returning stateside at just 18½ years old.
At 1Care Health , we are honored to recognize Veterans like Mr. Cohen. With the help of our Veteran Services Coordinator, Denise Page, we bring individual and group pinning ceremonies into the community as part of our commitment to the national We Honor Veterans program and the Las Vegas Hospice Alliance for Veterans for Veterans.
We thank Mr. Cohen for his service and wish him a very happy 100th birthday! 🎂🎉

This past Friday, our 1Care Kids Pediatric Palliative Care Team had the incredible honor of helping make another wish come true. We celebrated a special early graduation ceremony for an extraordinary young lady named Zamora, who is battling cancer with unimaginable strength and grace.

With the help of the amazing Principal and Counselors from Desert Oasis High School, Zamora received her high school diploma surrounded by her family, friends, and care team. The smile on her face as she held her diploma is something that will stay with all of us forever.

Today was a beautiful reminder of what truly matters most. 💜🎓🙌🏼

From prom queen to high school graduate, a Las Vegas Valley high school held an early graduation for one of its students fighting terminal cancer.

Yesterday, our 1Care Kids Pediatric Palliative Care Team had the incredible honor of bringing Prom home to one of our beautiful young patients bravely battling cancer. 💖

Her wish was simple, to experience Prom. Thanks to our amazing 1Care Kids "Angel Team" that wish came true. The afternoon was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories shared with her family and care team.

I couldn’t be more proud to be part of such a compassionate and dedicated team that goes above and beyond to make moments like this possible. 💜 ✨

Tonight was something special. We joined our partners at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation to celebrate the opening of a new themed exam room made possible by 1Care Kids and LeapFrog Pediatric Home Care.

What might look like paint and characters on a wall is so much more. It is comfort, courage, and a smile on a day that might otherwise feel heavy. Every child who walks into this space will know they matter and they are not alone.

We are proud of our teams and grateful for everyone who helped bring this to life. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do. One care. One goal. You.
