Kizuna Japanese Society Our Activities

Plan and discuss upcoming events at the monthly meeting. Volunteers send out monthly newsletters in Japanese and English to all members.

Kizuna Japanese Society is a community-oriented, non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to serving the community of Las Vegas by providing access and support for philanthropic, educational, and 「きずな」とは、日本語で「つながり」
「結びつき」を意味します。

設立趣旨
絆ジャパニーズソサエティーはラスベガスに住む日本人や日系人のシニアが、互いを支えあえるネットワークを作ろうと有志が集まり２０１１年に出来たチャリティー団体です。

活動内容

定期ミーティングでは活動報告やイベント、セミナーの予定などを話し合います。メンバーには毎月、日本語と英語でニューズレターをお届けしま

す。月に２回、アダルトデイケアーセンターを訪問しボランティアの歌やおどりを披露。センターに通う方々に喜んでもらっています。

お習字教室を月、2回、クラフト教室は月、1回、開催します。一般の方も参加できます。

たのしい春祭りは、毎年４月の最初の土曜日に行います。日本文化を多くの人に体験してもらうことを目的とし、きずなメンバーが地域の人たちと協力してこそ出来る大きなイベントです。

各月のお食事会、５月のバーベキューパーティー、９月は敬老の日を祝い、１０月にはアニバーサリー、１２月のクリスマスパーティーと年の初めの新年会や書き初め等、メンバー同士の交流の場もたくさん！

ファンドレイジングとして行うヤードセールも秋の恒例行事。皆で力を合わせて行う蚤の市、手作りのお弁当を食べながら、売ったり、買ったり、楽しい交流の機会となっています。

Kizuna Japanese Society was established in 2011 by open-minded volunteers to create a network of the Japanese and Japanese-American seniors in the Las Vegas area to provide mutual assistance of for one another. Volunteers visit at Adult Day Care Center twice a month performing singing and dancing to entertain the people at the center. (Fun exercise!)
Japanese calligraphy classes are offered twice a month, and craft classes are held once a month. Open to the public. Let’s have fun! Annual Kizuna Japanese Spring Festival is on the first Saturday of every April. The purpose of the festival is to provide Japanese cultural experience to the public. We work together with other local groups in Las Vegas. Our social gatherings are bi-monthly luncheons at local restaurants, BBQ in May, anniversary party in October, Xmas party, and New Year party, and various functions! Yard Sale is our fundraising+social event.
