CNT’S TORAH PROJECT – Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to sponsor a portion of CNT’s new Torah! Congregation Ner Tamid Members Elaine and Jack Chernikoff, and their son Neil Chernikoff, commissioned the first new Torah for CNT in loving memory of their son and brother Harvey Alan Chernikoff.
You can become a part of CNT’s new Torah for generations to come by participating in naming opportunities and the inscription of letters. Whether you choose a Book, a special passage, a significant verse or a weekly portion, contact Eddie Simon at CNT today to lock in your sponsorship. Those who secure sponsorships in November will have the opportunity to inscribe one of the remaining letters with a scribe on Monday, December 5. The final letters will be inscribed on Tu BiShvat, Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Participants in this project will be acknowledged prominently on a permanent donor wall at our synagogue.

Writing a new Torah, or commissioning the writing of a scroll, is the fulfillment of Mitzvah No. 613, the very last Mitzvah in the Torah.
