What if you could learn to stop before a trigger becomes a problem? Mindfulness teaches you how to notice emotional triggers as they happen and act on purpose instead of on impulse. It works especially well for people who have trauma or co-occurring disorders. Mindfulness helps with calm, grounded recuperation by dealing with how we think and feel.

Have you ever wondered why it becomes so much worse so soon when someone is addicted to he**in? The high from he**in comes on rapidly and goes away just as quickly. It normally lasts only a few hours before withdrawal symptoms start. This short-lived high makes people want to use it again and again, which increases their tolerance, reliance, and risk over time. Knowing how he**in affects the body helps explain why getting help from a specialist is so important.

Self-Injury Awareness Day is a day to help people understand, lower the stigma, and allow people who are having a hard time know that they are not alone. People who hurt themselves usually do so because they are very sad, not because they want to get attention. Help with compassion can make a significant impact. We build space for healing and hope by talking and showing that we care.

If you or someone you care about is having a hard time, there is aid and support available. πŸ’› thenestledrecovery.com

Even if someone seems successful and responsible, how can you know when drinking is more than simply a habit? People who are functionally alcoholic typically show signs in small ways, like drinking in secret, being irritable, needing alcohol every day, or slowly changing their attitude and performance. These signs can be hard to spot, but they can have big effects on your physical and mental health in the long run. Being aware early on can help stop more injuries and make it easier to receive aid immediately.
