It’s rare to get second chances. You’re lucky to get one in your life. Today I’m celebrating my MULTIPLE second chances on my “rebirth day”. It’s been 14 years since I broke my neck in a motorcycle accident and was paralyzed. Nearly 25% of my life has been spent in a wheelchair.

I got a second chance at life. A second chance to be a better dad, a second chance to be a better leader, and a second chance at true love.
My kids are my best friends, our Titan Brands team feels like family, and I rediscovered the woman I first fell in love with 40 years ago, Tana Lynn Zunino. It’s been such a journey since May 10, 2009. I’ve been directed, I’ve been protected and I’ve been corrected by an awesome God.

I want to thank everyone that has helped make these second chances possible. Doctors, nurses, therapists, pastors, Community Lutheran Church, family, friends, partners, team members, MGM Resorts, investors, and of course my wonderful assistants/caregivers. You all inspire me to keep grinding every day through the pain, the disability, and the inherent fear that comes with my condition. If you’re reading this know that you are part of that inspiration.

My relationships with all of you is my fuel. Don’t be strangers, reach out, and stay connected. Whether you’re in Vegas or somewhere else I’d love to see, chat and have a meal with you.

Very thoughtful read from an interesting and important perspective.

Clinicians can practice disability humility by developing social understandings of disability. This can help clinicians improve communication and express respect for patients’ authority about their experiences.

More than seven years after my injury I continue to work. Started to work with an athletic trainer six months ago. I dropped 35 pounds and pulled this stunt off last week. I'm walking while lifting my walker.

Seven years ago today at this very hour I was breathing what I thought was my last breath. I was in a ditch, paralyzed from the neck down, praying that God would take me quick and make it painless. Through a series of miracles, and the support of family and friends I am so grateful to be here enjoying the recovery that I have had, and the business we have built. I have written a book that I hope inspires people, renews their faith, and helps them to appreciate their lives. The book is titled "Livin' On A Chair". You can order the book here, and if you are moved please pass it along to those you believe are in need. Thank you and enjoy the story!

"Under the measure, people with disabilities would be able to create special accounts at any financial institution where they could deposit up to $14,000 annually. The ABLE accounts could accrue up to $100,000 in savings without risking an individual’s eligibility for government benefits like Social Security. Also, Medicaid coverage could be retained no matter how much money is deposited in the proposed accounts."

Federal lawmakers say they've reached a deal to move forward on a bill that would establish a new way for people with disabilities to save money without
