Here’s a question we get a lot from a prospective client. Would we get the same caregiver every time?
It's a valid concern, isn't it? You want consistency, familiarity, someone you can trust and someone that doesn’t need retraining on a continuous basis. Well, the answer isn't always straightforward, but let's break it down BUT what I can tell you is that if ANY agency tells you, you will always get the same caregiver, they are not being honest and truthful with you at the start of your relationship.
In an ideal world, yes, you would have the same caregiver every time. That consistent bond can make a world of difference in your care experience. However, life happens. Caregivers may have schedules that shift, emergencies come up, illness happens, a car breaks down, they move to another state, or sometimes they might need time off.
That's where caregiver agencies like ours come in. We work hard to match you with caregivers who align with your needs and preferences. And we schedule our clients out one month in advance to create a consistent schedule. So while we strive for consistency and to keep caregiver churn to a minimum, there may be times when you'll meet different caregivers.
But don't worry, each caregiver undergoes thorough training, orientation and a proper briefing before starting their shift to ensure they provide the same level of quality care. Where possible we schedule the new caregiver to come out when your regular caregiver is there so they can learn the routine and expectations in-person.
Plus, meeting different caregivers can introduce you to new perspectives and approaches, enriching your care experience, and it provides us with backup if your regular caregiver becomes unavailable.
So, while you may not always get the same caregiver every time, rest assured, you'll always receive consistent, compassionate and professional care, and we will do everything reasonable to get you the same caregiver.

ComForCare is owned and operated by Theresa (Teri) Hughes, RN, and her husband Alan Hughes, MBA. They have been residents of Las Vegas beginning in 2005.
Teri is a Registered Nurse since 2003. Teri was a nurse educator for the Valley Health System here in Las Vegas. She also worked as a Coroner Investigator for Clark County. Previously Teri was a hospice intake nurse for Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Seattle and an operating room nurse for Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Prior to her nursing career, Teri worked as a police dispatcher for over 16 years.
Alan is a 26+ year Human Resource (HR) executive having worked for companies such as American Express, Pitney Bowes, and Convergys HR outsourcing to name a few. He has his Master of Business Administration in addition to his HR degree and was a former Certified Senior Advisor. He has spent his entire life hiring, training, motivating and managing employee performance. His last role prior to buying their ComForCare franchise was as Vice-President, HR for a global mining company.
