Madelaine and I were deeply honored to serve as co-chairs of this year’s American Cancer Society Game Changer Gala.
As CEO and COO of Unified Care Hospice, our life’s work is rooted in caring for patients and families facing serious and life-limiting illness. Serving in this role allowed us not only to support an extraordinary mission, but also to help recognize and celebrate an incredible group of “Game Changers” whose advocacy, generosity, and leadership are actively advancing the fight against cancer.
It was an inspiring evening — one that reminded us of the power of community, compassion, and collective purpose.
We proudly stand in support of prevention, research, and the pursuit of cures that the Anerican Cancer Society majes possible. At the same time, through our work with Unified Care Hospice and Holistic Passings Foundation, we also understand a profound reality: not every patient will survive their illness. When cure is no longer possible, dignity, comfort, presence, and holistic support become everything.
That is why our commitment to this cause extends across the full spectrum of care — from fighting for more birthdays and breakthroughs to walking alongside patients and families during life’s most vulnerable moments. We believe every person deserves to be supported with compassion, surrounded by love, and cared for with intention through every stage of their journey.
Thank you to the American Cancer Society for the opportunity to serve, and to the many Game Changers in our community who continue to inspire hope through their work and generosity. We are grateful to stand alongside you in this mission.
