October is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Awareness Month. It's a leading cause of death for infants and often preventable through safe sleep practices. Parents, please remember the following:

✅ Babies should always sleep on their backs
❎ Cribs should be free of stuffed toys, blankets and other soft objects or bedding
✅ Pediatricians recommend your baby sleeps in the same room with you, in a different bed

We are so excited to welcome Baby's Bounty to the UMC Halloween Safe-tacular and BOOster Bonanza. Families who attend will have access the organization's mobile diaper bank, while supplies last.

We are in the midst of the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer, a time where teen drivers are more likely to be involved in serious crashes. Teen Driver Safety Day is a great opportunity for local teens to learn how to be safe on the roads from experts, including UMC Trauma staff. Registration has been extended until July 21!

🎨 Let your creativity shine! The Healthy Living Institute recently hosted its first ever Jr. Creative Flow Class. This complimentary class is for kids of all ages, encouraging mindfulness and relaxation through artistic expression. This is just one of several programs for families we are offering to the community at no cost.
