What a lovely way to kick off May🌸

I love tarot and Oracle challenges! Some of them can be very challenging, but rewarding, while others are a great and easy way to build consistency in your routine.

The May flower oracle challenge is perfect for where I’m at with my practice, plus I love my oracle cards!

For this challenge I will be using my oracle by 💜 their positive messages and bright colors fit the theme of the challenge perfectly.

1. Magnolia: how can I better connect with nature?-sunflower/nourishment 🌻I am a summer baby through and through. Doing activities in the sun such as swimming, walking, or even sun bathing in the grass is a great way for me to connect with nature.

3. Lilac: what love does my inner child need from me?- Volcano/change 🌋My inner child has pent up anger, sadness, frustrations that need to be released. I am not who I once was. I can’t hold onto old trauma responses and think things will change. I need to release and let these emotions flow, for more love to seep in.

This year for me is all about moving through the things that bring me a feeling of “fear”. More often than not I am afraid of the things I feel inadequate in. But the only way to stop feeling inadequate is through practice, repetition, and self-forgiveness. This weekend I performed my first tarot live where I pulled cards and did readings for multiple people in a row. While I still have things to work on, I realized that I wasn’t inadequate at all! I am proud of myself, and I hope that if you conquered something scary today you are proud of yourself too 💜

You’ve gone through a lot haven’t you? So many trials and tribulations to get to the point you’re at now. You’re tired, bruised, and battered by your journey and you’re ready to throw in the towel. Don’t you know you’re so close to manifesting the life you desire? Ego has this funny way of knowing when you are about to step out what’s comfortable, what’s controllable, and into something unknown. That’s the time when Ego tries to stop you before you go too far, even when you’re headed towards something so beautiful. It’s scary because you don’t know what that new chapter looks like yet. 📖

Grandmother Ocean wants you to know that “True freedom can only be found by relinquishing control.” She wants you to ride the waves of life wherever they may instead of always trying to control the outcome. Do you know your life path card? 👀

I participated in a lovely full moon group tarot session with on her discord yesterday 🥰🌕

During the session we talked about life path cards: what they are, how to find one, and how to attune your actions into reaching your highest self through your life path card. ✨

I tuned into my spirit guides (can’t wait to get into this more, still learning) and asked them to help me choose my life path card….I pulled the Empress 🥹

I truly love this Empress card designed by 🌸 to me it embodies the “soft girl era.” Self-love, abundance, beauty, and love are all keywords that help describe this card. But to me, having this as a life path card means I need to be more open to receiving love from others instead of keeping my walls up. I am meant to create (as the empress card represents fertility and creation) and in order to create something new I need to be willing to let go of what does not serve me instead of trying to control things. 💜

This weekend’s energy is represented by Death reversed and Grandmother Linden. 🌳

You know what you have to do to move forward. I feel as if you are holding yourself back because you are scared of the unknown. Your comfort zone has made you stagnant, and you know this, but maybe because of the past you are scared to follow your heart. 💜
In order to reach your highest self you will have to LET GO. Let go of limiting beliefs, old habits and systems, let go of people who no longer serve to help you grow. What is your heart telling you to do? If you tend to follow your ego or your mind, this weekend may be the time to switch things up. How do you feel when you do what your heart wants instead? 🥰

I really like the color schemes in this reading. It’s as if, after you walk through the fire (reds and oranges) there will be peace and discernment ahead (greens). Not everything will be destroyed as you remove what isn’t needed. What remains will be the parts of you that really matters.

Me? Doing two challenges at the same time?! 😲 who is she 😂
Since the tarot in love challenge is every other day I thought it would be awesome to supplement with the queen of cups challenge by

The first three days of this challenge asked me to shuffle my deck, find the queen of cups, and then place the following three card face down. My queen of cups was reversed (signifying internal work to me) and the card before was the fool, signifying new beginnings.

1. What do you want to guide or help me with this month? The Emperor: How to step into my power as a leader. How to help control my emotions and have my discipline rather than moving on impulse.

2. In what way can following your guidance help me? Strength reversed: I also received this card during my year ahead spread. Working on inner strength, removing self-doubt, and overcoming fear is a big theme for me, and following the queen of cups’ guidance may help me with this.

3. What first steps can I take towards this outcome? Six of wands reversed: in this reading my intuition is telling me “stop relying on outside validation and love for happiness.” It doesn’t matter how many likes I have or how many people commend my efforts. I need to have more internal acceptance and love.

I may not do every day of this challenge but I love the prompts and I’m excited to dig deeper with this!

Preparing a space before an in person reading is very important ✨
I always want to welcome in the positive energies of the querent’s ancestors, guardians, and guides to help guide us through the session. I personally use a combination of crystals, white smoke (rosemary bundle is pictured), and sound cleansing to help prepare a space. But simply calming your mind and placing your hands on the decks can help give your readings more clarity. 🧘🏾‍♀️

Cartomancy and Journaling: Do they work well together?

Yes!

I believe that using cards is a great way to begin journaling, especially if you don’t know where to begin.
I’ve been sitting on the cards for a while because I didn’t know how to incorporate them into my reflective readings. Once I received my cards I knew I had the perfect fit.

Sometimes after a betrayal the best way for you to remain strong is by focusing on your energy. That may mean withdrawing away from others. This is your ego going into survival mode. But if you remain in survival mode too long, one day you’ll look around and realize you don’t have meaningful connections with others. This is because you’ve begun to associate pain to relationships. You will need to learn to trust yourself and others again. It will be uncomfortable at first, because it is new. Keep going and enjoy the process. Build those threads of love again. You can do it!

Ps: The root chakra card showed up for me again. This is my mindfulness card I received using “cultivating abundance” spread, and it showed up with the abundance card. Sometimes cards come back in your readings for a reason!

The reclaim oracle deck has been on my wishlist for a while. I am so glad I was able to grab it! I feel as if it came at the right time. I did a new deck interview spread and I feel as if the results were very powerful. I wasn’t sure if should read reversals but I felt called to do so…hopefully I’m not wrong 😅

1. What brought you to me? Freedom: “When fear becomes your friend instead of the enemy.” My need to accept my fears and keep moving forward brought this deck to me.

2. What are your strengths? Guilt reversed: I felt called to keep this reversal because I believe its strengths are to help remove guilt, not instill it.

3. What are your weaknesses? Fairness reversed: “what is freedom without boundaries?” These boundaries are for me to create, not the deck.

4. What was your first impression of me? Connection reversed: Not much to go into with this one 🥲 let’s just say it’s accurate.

5. What readings are you best suited for? Detachment: learning to let go because it’s time to.

6. What is the outcome of our relationship? Success, gratitude and believing in my abilities to accomplish whatever I set my mind to.
