🌎 Proudly serving Nevada and surrounding states with 24/7 advanced veterinary care, supporting pets and their families every step of the way. VE+CC, through its association with LVVSC, will provide general practice veterinarians and pet owners access to life-saving emergency, critical and specialty care doctors all under one roof. Unlike other local animal emergency facilities, VE+CC will have doctors and nurses on-site at all times allowing for continuous treatment and ongoing collaboration with the animal’s primary veterinarian. If referral to a specialist is needed, LVVRC doctors are literally down the hall.

Remember Arsyn, our recent blood-donation hero? Turns out superheroism runs in the family.

His sister, Ember, stepped up last night to provide a life-saving blood donation for a pup in need, and we couldn’t be more grateful to her and their amazing family.

We tried to get a solo photo of Ember, but she had other plans — the biggest smile, the happiest wiggles, and zero interest in sitting still. (So here she is with her brother, because teamwork counts too.)

Thank you, Ember, for being a true hero. 💛🩸🐾

Our hospitals are hosting a donation drive throughout the holiday season and into the New Year to support two incredible rescue partners: Tommy Cat Foundation and The Animal Foundation

Both organizations do life-changing work for the most vulnerable animals in our community—from medically complex kitties to shelter pets waiting for their second chance. 💙🐾

You’ll find two donation bins in our hospital and one in our specialty hospital, ready for holiday cheer in the form of food, treats, and other pet essentials. Every item makes a difference, and every donation helps an animal feel a little safer, a little warmer, and a lot more loved.

Thank you to our amazing community for helping us fill these boxes and spread kindness all season long. ✨🎄🐶🐱

Today this wiggly, people-bouncing ball of joy did something incredible — she gave a life-saving blood donation to help a hospitalized pup in need. 🩸❤️

If you’ve ever met Tulane, you know two things:
1️⃣ Her tail never stops.
2️⃣ She thinks every human she meets is her new best friend.

So naturally, she showed up to donate with full-body wiggles and the happiest smile (video in our stories).

Thanks to heroes like Tulane, our blood bank can give critically ill patients a fighting chance. 💛🐾

🥰 Olive is back — and wiggling her boxer nub!

Sweet Olive came in for her recheck today after recently being hospitalized for IMHA (immune-mediated hemolytic anemia) — a serious condition where the immune system mistakenly destroys red blood cells. She received a life-saving blood transfusion and has been fighting hard ever since. 💛

And of course… she didn’t come alone! Her sister proudly tagged along for moral support and made sure Olive felt extra brave. Two happy boxer faces in the lobby = instant mood boost. 🐶🐶✨

Our ER and Critical Care teams have been here around the clock—doing what they always do—caring for the pets who need us most. We’re incredibly grateful for the teams that worked this weekend. Their dedication is the reason we’re able to be here for our community.

Dr. Love’s journey from ER medicine to becoming an ABVP feline specialist led her to open Las Vegas Cat Hospital , where she provides compassionate, cat-only care for our community. 🐱💛

🌟 Welcome, Dr. Tracy Prouty! 🌟

We’re thrilled to share that Tracy Prouty, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) has officially joined our Neurology & Neurosurgery team alongside Dr. Dana Gietzen — and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back to our hospital. Dr. Prouty completed her neurology residency here in Las Vegas, so having her return feels like a true full-circle moment.

With over two decades of experience in advanced neurological care, Dr. Prouty is known not only for her clinical excellence, but also for the way she guides families through some of their hardest moments with warmth and understanding. Her passion for mentorship, education, and advancing the field has helped countless pets (and the people who love them) live fuller, happier lives.

Outside of the hospital, you’ll find her hiking and camping, exploring antique treasure shops, discovering new restaurants, diving into wonderfully impractical topics, and appreciating her wife’s incredible gardening skills. 🌿✨

Please join us in giving Dr. Prouty the warmest welcome as she partners with Dr. Gietzen to continue offering exceptional neurological care for our community’s pets. We’re so grateful to have her home again. 💛🐾

We are so honored and grateful to receive this beautiful service award from Bob Maxwell and Voice of the Vet in recognition of caring for sweet Sadie Sue Maxwell, the official service dog of Voice of the Veteran.

This gesture meant the world to our team—especially to Dr. Strader, Sadie’s overseeing doctor—and it’s now proudly hanging in our hospital as a reminder of why we do what we do. 💛🐾

Thank you, Bob, for your incredible service and for the important work you do advocating for veterans and their families.
