Purr-fection, but make it medical. 🐾🐱

Odo has been working with our Internal Medicine team for diabetes management and recently came in feeling off.

With help from our ER, Anesthesia, Cardiology, and IM teams, he received thoughtful, around-the-clock care. He was a favorite in the ER, even winning the Top Cat Award. 🥇

When biopsies were needed, his team created a customized anesthesia plan designed just for him — because diabetes + anesthesia = extra planning (and extra love).

Odo did amazing. 12/10 patient. Best orange ever. 🧡✨

Bro visited us at VECC just before the new year after being diagnosed with ITP — a condition where the body mistakenly attacks its own platelets.

He later continued care with our Internal Medicine team (Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center), but not before leaving his mark on the ICU. Between polite paw shakes, top-tier awhoos, and overall excellent “good boy” energy, he quickly became a staff favorite.

Today, his family came back for an IM recheck — and showed up with snacks for both teams.
Seeing Bro doing well (and feeling the love in snack form) made everyone’s day. 🐾💙

Proof that tails tell the whole story 💕

Millie and Cerea came in needing some extra support and round-the-clock care, and their response? Constant wagging and peak Samoyed optimism.

With attentive nursing, IV fluids, and advanced supportive therapies, these two clouds stayed comfortable and well cared for every step of the way — and made sure everyone noticed their freshly colored tails while they were at it.

We’re so glad to see them on the upswing and heading home with their fluff fully restored ☁️🐾

🪨 Rock: 0.
Wally the Corgi: 1.

While visiting his grandma here from the Midwest, Wally decided to sample a local delicacy… a rock 😅(0/10, do not recommend.)

The good news? Wally came in though our ER at 3 AM. The stabilized him and worked with the IM and anesthesia teams to retrieve the rock in just 4 minutes! Wally bounced right back to his cheerful, corgi-self. No surgery, no long recovery — just expert care and a very relieved grandma.

✨ Did you know?
Many swallowed objects can be removed quickly and safely with minimally invasive tools when caught early — which means less risk, less downtime, and faster cuddles back at home.

Ending on the best part: one very happy Wally, rock-free and smiling for the camera 💙🐶

These aren’t just dogs in helicopters — they’re working partners who help in search and rescue, disaster response, and detection work.

Because we’re the closest 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital for many surrounding areas, they’re sometimes flown to us when minutes matter. Our team is proud to partner with Intermountain Life Flight and Ambulance to keep those transitions smooth.

Teamwork, lots of preparation, and a shared goal:
making sure the dogs who help our communities can get care when they need it. ❤️🐾✈️

BREAKING NEWS: Severus the ball python has declared himself Employee of the Month.
Benefits include warm sweaters and adoring fans. 🐍💛

We don’t specialize in exotics, but a few of our vets are exotic enthusiasts — so give us a call first to make sure one of them is here before bringing your critters in.

(Severus says thanksss.)

In our ER, rounds happen twice a day — but they’re not just about charts and updates. Our Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center departments team up with ER to talk through each patient’s plan, celebrate wins, and make sure everyone’s getting exactly what they need.

And more often than not… our patients join too.
Which usually means bonus cuddles, head scratches, and quiet snuggle time while we chat about their care. And between rounds, they’re and thoroughly doted on all day long by our crew.

The medicine matters — but the love does, too. 🐾💙

Christmas Eve looks a little different in the ER — laughter, ugly sweaters, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart.

We’re incredibly grateful for the team members who are here today making sure pets get the care they need, when they need it.

From all of us: Merry Christmas Eve, and please know we’re here for you and your furry family 24/7, always 🎄

Chuck, the most lovable Sphynx, came to see us after his family veterinarian sent him over for 24/7 monitoring and lots of love. Over a few days, he received oxygen support, close care, and plenty of snuggles from a team that quickly became very attached to him.

We’re happy to share that Chuck did well and was able to head home feeling more comfortable — exactly what we love to see. Huge thanks to his family and primary veterinarian Centennial Hills Animal Hospital for working together to support him every step of the way.

We’re also excited to share that our board-certified cardiologist officially joins us next week, expanding our ability to support patients with heart conditions further. Appointments can be easily scheduled here:
