🌎 Proudly serving Nevada and surrounding states with 24/7 advanced veterinary care, supporting pets and their families every step of the way. VE+CC, through its association with LVVSC, will provide general practice veterinarians and pet owners access to life-saving emergency, critical and specialty

care doctors all under one roof. Unlike other local animal emergency facilities, VE+CC will have doctors and nurses on-site at all times allowing for continuous treatment and ongoing collaboration with the animal’s primary veterinarian. If referral to a specialist is needed, LVVRC doctors are literally down the hall.

📸🐾 We’re excited to welcome Stephanie, a veterinary student from WesternU College of Veterinary Medicine to our hospital!

Not only is Stephanie passionate about veterinary medicine, but she’s also a talented photographer and a car enthusiast. Fun fact: while photographing Formula 1 cars, she actually won free tickets to F1 Las Vegas ! 🏎️✨

We love opening our doors to future veterinary professionals. Hosting students like Stephanie is one of the best parts of what we do—sharing knowledge, teaching hands-on skills, and watching the next generation of veterinarians grow.

🐾 We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Megan Posukonis to our Internal Medicine team at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center + Emergency + Critical Care✨

Dr. Posukonis comes to us after completing her residency at Iowa State and has special interests in endocrine disease and interventional urology.

She’s passionate about using advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive procedures to help pets live their best, healthiest lives. 💙

When she’s not caring for patients, you can find her cooking, hiking, painting, or spending time with her two dogs — Chewbacca the Alaskan Malamute and Apollo the Husky mix (who thinks cats are snacks, so for now… no cats at home 🐶😅). She’s also newly engaged and planning a beach wedding for summer 2026! 🌊💍

Dr. Posukonis will start seeing patients on September 2nd — we’re so excited to have her join our community.

Meet Huckleberry 🐾 — this sweet Staffordshire is in the middle of a big move with his family from California to Las Vegas. He wasn’t feeling his best recently, but after some care and lots of love from our nursing team (especially Ashly, pictured here 💙), we’re happy to share he’s back on his paws and discharged!

If the photos look a little blurry, it’s only because Huckleberry was too busy bouncing from one nurse to the next, showering everyone with love and tail wags. 💕

Safe travels to you and your family, Huck — we’ll be cheering you on in your new Vegas chapter!

When our friends at Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas lost 95% of their pet food pantry last month due to an AC fire and bug infestation, we knew we had to help. This pantry is a lifeline for so many pets and families in Las Vegas. 💙

Thanks to the generosity of our clients, our amazing Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center + ERCC teams, and our partnership with Purina, we were able to deliver over 800 lbs of pet food—plus toys, beds, bowls, and more—to help restock their shelves.

After dropping off the donations, we had the chance to tour their incredible facility and meet some of the hearts behind Hearts Alive. We also got to spend time with two of their adoptable cuties—Jazzy the puppy (still looking for her forever home!) and Rosie the sweet bulldog who melted everyone’s hearts. 🐶💖

This is what community is all about—neighbors helping neighbors, and making sure no pet goes without.

Meet just a few of our amazing leadership team members — the dedicated supervisors and managers working tirelessly to support 24/7 care across Nevada and surrounding states. Not all could step away for the photo (because patient care never stops!), but their impact is felt every day.

We were also proud to welcome Dr. Scavelli, our Chief Medical Officer, and Patti Scavelli, Area Manager East, as they spent time connecting with the local team and celebrating the work happening on the ground here in Vegas.

🐾 Bonus VIP: Athena, our honorary “manager for a day,” joined in on the fun! She’s a sweet senior pittie from The Animal Foundation, currently being fostered by one of our associates — and she’s looking for her forever home! 💕

Today we’re celebrating sweet Puddles heading home! 🖤🐾

Puddles is a 13-year-old chihuahua with the most amazing ears and a very particular snuggle policy — but once she decides you're in, you're in for some serious cuddles. 🥰

She came to us through her wonderful primary vet after dealing with a tough case of pancreatitis and some kidney concerns. Thanks to a true team effort between our ER and Internal Medicine teams, a few days in the hospital, and a feeding tube to help her stay strong, she’s now feeling so much better and ready to be back where she belongs — at home.

We’re so thankful for the collaboration with her primary care team, and to everyone here who cared for her like their own. She may be tiny, but she made a big impression on all of us. 💛

Snuggle on, Puddles — we’ll miss you! 👂🐶✨

Please join us in celebrating Cali, our sweet bulldog with a signature underbite and adorable spots, who’s officially back home after a recent stay in the hospital. 💕

Cali came to us with several medical concerns, but with lots of expert care — and even more tail wags — she made it through like a champ. Throughout her stay, she kept everyone smiling with her gentle spirit and kisses. 😌🐶💋

We’re especially grateful to her loving adoptive family, who welcomed Cali into their lives just five months ago. Their ongoing support and care made all the difference in her recovery.

Today, Cali is back where she belongs — at home relaxing, healing, and enjoying the good life. 💙

🐾💉 Even the littlest patients need big care.

This tiny fighter weighs less than pounds — but don’t let the size fool you. When a kitten this small needs help, it takes a gentle touch, a skilled team, and a whole lot of heart.

In this case, it meant placing a tiny IV catheter to deliver the fluids, medications, and support needed to help them feel better. 🐱💛

Whether they're 2 pounds or 120, every patient matters — and we're honored to be here for them, day or night.

This little ray of sunshine is Benny — and he’s got everyone smiling today (especially Nurse Bri 💕).

Benny’s been visiting us for continued care as he manages kidney disease, and we’re constantly inspired by his sweet spirit and unshakable charm.

From snuggles to smiles, he reminds us that strength comes in all sizes — and that even on tough days, there’s always room for a tail wag and a little love.

Meet Loki: equal parts mischief and magnificence, and 100% majestic in his birthday suit.

Whether he's soaking up cuddles or stealing the spotlight, Loki knows how to work the room (and the camera). We’re pretty sure he’s convinced this hospital was built just for him — and honestly, we’re not arguing.

Hairless? Yes. Heart-stealer? Absolutely.

There’s something special about the quiet moments — like this one between Piper and our shift lead, Yami.

Piper’s been receiving care for ITP with the support of Dr. Weatheron, our board-certified criticalist, and she’s been winning over every heart along the way.

It’s more than just expert medicine — it’s the calm reassurance, gentle hands, and kind connections that help our patients feel at home.

Piper’s doing beautifully, and we’re so honored to be a part of her journey. 🐾💛
