GLP-1s can support weight loss but they don’t protect your muscle. That part is up to you.

Here are 3 ways to maintain muscle mass while taking GLP-1s:
1. Strength train: Aim for resistance training 2–3 times per week to build muscle mass as well as bone strength.
2. Prioritize protein: Protein needs are higher during weight loss, especially when it’s rapid and a significant amount.
3. Stay consistent with movement: Whether it’s going for a walk every morning, doing yoga 3 times a week, or group cycling every Saturday, keep a regular activity routine.

A ton of patients ask me: what’s an ESG?
