We’re proud to have been part of the 2026 National Council for Mental Wellbeing Conference ( ) in Denver!

Leo Magrdichian and Ryan Creelman presented on blending spiritual care with clinical practice, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting long term recovery. The strong turnout, including standing room attendance, reflected the level of interest in this important topic.

Connections staff recently toured Restorations and Recovery, one of our valued community partners dedicated to providing essential resources to our unhoused community. During the visit, we shared more about our Connections Fatherhood Program and explored meaningful ways to collaborate in supporting father figures on their journey toward stability and success. We’re grateful for the opportunity to strengthen partnerships that make a real difference in our community.

Connections has kicked off the first cohort of the FORGE Fatherhood Program!

Today, the team visited Harris Springs Ranch to deliver the On My Shoulders curriculum, providing hands on workshops that build skills for healthy relationships with children, partners, family, and the community.

Support continues beyond the classroom with employment services, job readiness, career guidance, and wraparound support to help participants overcome barriers and succeed.

Connections staff attended the Westcoast Job Fair at the Boulevard Mall on April 8, 2026, where they connected with employers and training providers to build strong partnerships in support of our Fatherhood Program.
Creating pathways to employment and career growth is a vital part of what we do, and events like this allow us to expand opportunities for the individuals and families we serve. We’re excited to continue building relationships that support long-term success and stability.

We were honored to welcome Darren Waller to our Women and Children’s Campus for a truly meaningful day of healing and connection.

Darren led a yoga and meditation session for the women in our program. The experience created a space for mindfulness, reflection, and renewal, reminding us all of the power of showing up for yourself each day.

Moments like these reinforce the importance of community, wellness, and holistic approaches to recovery.

Connections staff attended the Spring into Action Easter Event hosted by Narcan at Night. The event brought together families, community partners, specialty court programs, treatment facilities, and a variety of vendors in support of a fun, safe, and engaging environment for all.

Children visited each vendor table to fill their Easter baskets, creating a lively and interactive experience. Throughout the event, our team had the opportunity to network, build collaborations, and make meaningful introductions within the community.

Connections staff also shared information about our program, highlighting opportunities available for fathers and father figures. It was an exciting event that created lasting memories and strengthened community connections.

Last week, Connections staff participated in a Nevada Homeless Alliance event held at Vegas Stronger, where they actively engaged with a variety of community resource providers. During the event, staff built meaningful connections with partner organizations, shared information about the Connections program, and explored opportunities for collaboration to better support individuals experiencing homelessness.

WestCare Connection’s staff wrapped up their Friday with a fun and engaging team-building experience at Red Door Escape Room. The evening began with pizza and wings, giving everyone a chance to relax and connect before diving into the adventure. Teams then put their problem-solving skills to the test in the escape rooms, working together to overcome challenges and complete their missions. It was a great opportunity to build teamwork, strengthen relationships, and enjoy a well-deserved break filled with fun and collaboration. 😁
