Our services include substance abuse and addiction treatment, homeless and runaway shelters, domestic violence treatment and prevention, and mental health programs. At the end of his rope after time on the streets and a recent job loss, Alan found WestCare. He expected a quick, rough, careless detox and to be back outside -- but in his first week, something clicked. With a structured program and a staff that embraced him, he started to think differently, set a plan, and believe he could do it. Today, Alan is working, living in sober housing, and rebuilding trust with his family. Hearing “I’m proud of you, Dad” reminded him of the true purpose of life and recovery.

His journey fuels our mission of Uplifting the Human Spirit and inspires us to keep sharing stories of hope. Thank you to our partners and funders whose support makes this work possible. Your support changes lives!

Joshua found WestCare after the pandemic pushed him to rock bottom: losing his job, getting into trouble, and realizing he couldn’t control his use. With a team that truly cares, he’s building real coping skills and choosing not to give up, treating a lifelong disease one day at a time.

His commitment reminds us why we share more stories of Uplifting the Human Spirit in all our work. Thank you to Nevada Medicaid and our partner insurers for funding Joshua’s care at WestCare. Your support makes recovery accessible and possible!

Mason came to WestCare homeless and feeling stuck in chaos for years. With steady support, he began breaking old habits, building healthier ones, and even rediscovered his love of reading, from books to the Bible. Today, he says he can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and wants to help others get into treatment and out of the cycle.

Stories like Mason’s fuel our mission of Uplifting the Human Spirit. A very special thank you to the LVMPD LIMA Program for supporting his journey and many others!

Bobby came to WestCare after addiction took his job, family, and home. With encouragement, resources, and a safe place to call home, he’s finding direction, focused on sobriety, and even dreaming of giving back by working in recovery. In just 60 days, he’s watched peers go from “on the corners” to full-time jobs, fueling his journey to get his life back.

Stories like Bobby’s are why we’re Uplifting the Human Spirit every day. Thank you to the partners, like HPN-Medicaid, who make this care possible. Your support changes lives!

Dylan came to WestCare to get his life back after his addiction and homelessness left him "wandering the streets" and unable to care for himself. Thanks to the 4th Street Transitional Housing program, he's learned to support himself, regained control, and launched into a path toward working in recovery himself. The work he's put in has been hugely impactful to his life, and it inspires us to write more stories of Uplifting the Human Spirit in all our efforts!

Thank you to Nevada Medicaid for funding Dylan's time at WestCare. Your support changes lives!

Recovery can bring about growth in surprising ways. When Salina came to WestCare shortly after giving birth, she relied on drugs as a way to numb emotions. After entering the program, which she describes as both the best and scariest thing she's ever done, she learned not only to care for herself and get a job, but to love herself and care for her child. She found herself suddenly in a better, more fulfilling life, one borne from time in a program she'd fought to avoid. In her WestCare Story, Salina shares with us how the lessons she learned at WestCare have carried into her life and gives thanks to the programs, funding sources, and people who supported her life-changing time at WestCare.

After coming to WestCare through the City of Las Vegas's WIN Court program, Aurya overcame uncertainty to launch herself into, as she describes, "a life beyond my wildest dreams." The growth she worked for continued into her new career in treatment as a case manager at another treatment organization, benefitting Las Vegas and Nevada as a whole. Her story of using the lessons learned from a successful journey of healing reminds us the value of the work we do and inspires us to continue supporting the journeys of everyone we work with.

We'd like to thank the City of Las Vegas's WIN Court program for funding Aurya's time at WestCare. The opportunities you create are hugely beneficial to our state and community!
