One of the biggest killers of achievement is lack of clarity 👀

Comparable to driving in the fog on a drizzly day outside.

It's awfully difficult to get to wherever you are going when you struggle to see 100 feet in front of you.

To help illustrate how my team and I handle this when helping client's manage their Parkinson's symptoms...

I'd like to share a soundbite 🗣 from one of our clients lives who recently started working with us.

This isn't like the rest of the other client wins we share...

In fact this one is MUCH different -♥️-

Meet Kathy, who in just a short time working with us went from arranging her funeral to planning exciting book tours 📖

Despite not really having the opportunity to improve her movement yet.

This mindset shift alone meant the world to her.

By not only changing her outlook but also giving her a new lease on life.

After being misdiagnosed 5 separate times...

Spending 10 days in a coma after botched medicine treatment...

And being told to consider hospice...

It was difficult for her to believe a solution was possible... which anyone in that situation would likely have a similar experience.

After entering our world she slowly started to take steps 🦶 (literally and figuratively)

Restoring belief that it was possible.

Fast forward to today... Kathy has speaking engagements planned, is writing a course on mindfulness based on her book, and continues to improve her ability to think and move well through her training with Motorvation.

Regardless if your personal story is close or distant to Kathy's there is a key take away here.

Nothing positive will happen towards managing your symptoms until you believe improvement is possible.

Because it is... and we see it everyday!

If this story inspired you in wanting to make progress in your journey... 🤔

Then be sure to mark your calendars for next Monday June 17th.

Because at 9am CST I will be releasing the details on a brand new training course designed to help you improve motor and cognitive function 🥳

We are hard at work putting the finishing details on it 💪

🌍 Today marks World Parkinson’s Day! It's a time to raise awareness and celebrate the progress made in the Parkinson’s community.

Nate and I are proud to be Parkinson’s activists, committed to making a difference every day. On average, we provide over 225 hours a month of virtual one-on-one and group Parkinson’s training worldwide.

Our innovative system allows us to customize programming, leading to systemic changes and reaching underserved areas. This wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for all of the people with PD who are a part of the Motorvation community so we want to give all of you a shout out!

We also want to highlight our exciting project in Uganda!!

Thanks to the philanthropic efforts of Jim Kroeger, we've established a groundbreaking initiative: A virtual classroom equipped with a large screen for high quality virtual training.

By uniting the youth at St . Cyprian with their local elders, we're igniting a flame of leadership and inspiration within the next generation.

We have chosen an elite group of students who we are nurturing by immersing them into our current client sessions. We launch this integral next step next week.

Our aim? To not only groom them as contracted exercise specialists for Parkinson's in Uganda, but to also lead virtual training for Motorvation.

It's crucial to recognize: our focus isn't on exporting talent to the US, leaving their impact untapped in Ugandan communities. instead, were leveraging virtual platforms to ensure they remain leaders in their own right, driving impactful change at home.

This is how we can exemplify global change at a fraction of the traditional costs. Yet our vision transcends mere outreach, it's about delivering elite programming and integrating exercise with education to provide symptom specific training. Together, we're not just making waves- we're shaping a future where empowerment knows no borders.

Stay tuned for an integral step next week! We will be posting images from our first community outreach, where our student leaders will be getting to know the local PD community and sharing what they have learned 🥋💪

Our first day of training students at St. Cyprian high school in Uganda, to assist SI BUKO with helping people who have Parkinson’s, went off without a hitch!

Thank you so much to our sponsor Jim Kroeger who brought this intercontinental connectivity into reality!

These kids are very disciplined! And to be as articulate in a non native tongue as they are speaks to the education they have received at St. Cyprian, Kabugo Hanington’s high school!

We, at Motorvation, are honored to share our experience with these young minds and look forward to this partnership blossoming!

This is a message from a client with Spinocerebellar ataxia type 2, a progressive brain disorder severely affecting one’s ability to move.

She was initially unable to walk without fear of falling and was implementing ineffective movement strategies and compensations resulting in musculoskeletal abnormalities, furthering her fall risk. Her ability to walk up and down stairs was impaired, affecting her daily family life.

Through simple corrective exercises and Motorvation movement strategies our client has regained the ability and confidence to feel independent in her world, traversing university campuses 😅🤘🏽

She does the work, takes all of our input and translates it into results. But what an honor it is to guide her.

This isn’t a job, it’s a blessing.

The next episode of the Motorvation Station is coming soon! 🥳

This time we went back two and a half years to when Darbe interviewed three people with Early Onset Parkinson's about the disorienting dilemma they faced in being diagnosed with PD. This was a project for the Transformative Adult Learning course at Columbia University.

You may recognize a couple of the folks she interviewed 😁 and if you listen to the end you may just hear a cool rendition of a classic song by some unknown studly-man🤘

The small victories are sometimes the biggest in a client's life.

In this video you see Ron, after months of working on his range of motion, discovering regained ability to reach overhead with his affected side. Motorvation is a mind and body approach. We incorporate new ideas on movement theory in a variety of ways to improve not only the brains ability to move the body, but the body's ability to respond well to those commands. Here you see what commitment into our program can bring, a rediscovery of ability you'd thought you lost to PD.
