From Keith Grover @ First Line / Big Valley Towing, please review the announcement below:

Some of us are gathering for a stationary light up to show support for the Cal-Nevada operator, Donald Selters, who tragically died on Feb 26th. We are planning on meeting at the Walker Furniture lot as we have done in times past. It is large enough to accommodate a large number of trucks and get in and out of easily. Sunday evening, around 7pm would be a good time, as the local stores there are closed. We will keep it simple and quick. Meet at 7:00pm, lights on around 7:30pm and a moment of silence. Disperse shortly after. No procession or routes. Anyone interested in attending, just show up.

As in years past, larger trucks in back, smaller up front. I look forward to seeing any and all who are able to make it.

Make your NWZAW 2026 plans

Download the NWZAW poster, event guides and more resources

2026 is the 27th year of National Work Zone Awareness Week (NWZAW), a vital initiative to spread the nationwide message of roadway safety and raise critical attention to the risks that workers, motorists and pedestrians face in roadway work zones every single day. This year’s theme is straightforward: “Safe actions save lives.” Using the event guides and other resources available, you and your team can promote NWZAW, roadway and work zone safety and plan your own awareness event.

This year’s NWZAW is hosted by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT). CTDOT will hold the national kickoff event and press conference on Tuesday, April 21, and has arranged for a variety of national events that week but you can participate and share the message of safety no matter where you’re located.

Safe actions save lives.

National Work Zone Awareness Week prioritizes roadway safety and emphasizes the everyday dangers roadway workers face. The message reminds roadway users of the importance of attentiveness and respect when moving through roadway work zones.

Make your plans to join the weeklong commemoration:

April 20 – Work Zone Safety Training Day
April 21 – National kickoff event with CTDOT
April 22 – Go Orange Day
April 23 – Social media storm
April 24 – Moment of Silence

The Nevada TIM Coalition participated in the 2025 Crash Responder Safety Week event which was held November 17-21, 2025. There were various activities held throughout the state. Press conferences, TMC tours, SHRP2 TIM Training Class, Touch A Truck events, and others were held during the week. NHP also held a Multi-State DUI Blitz which included Mover Over enforcement. One of the pictures below contains the results of that blitz. We were grateful and honored to help coordinate and participate in this most important event. The TIM Coalition is grateful to those who sacrifice so much each day to help those in need.

Crash Responder Safety Week 2025: November 17-21 -

The Crash Responder Safety Week (CRSW) affords a unique opportunity for every Traffic Incident Management (TIM) community member to make a difference individually and jointly for roadway safety during traffic incidents. National, state, and local organizations can be a CRSW Ally in Action by sharing how your organization promoted CRSW in year 2024. Upload your organization’s logo through the CRSW Ally in Action form to be featured through future CRSW outreach efforts.

2025 is the 10th year that Federal, State, and local agencies have come together for CRSW. The theme for the 2025 CRSW is "Safety Starts With You – Slow Down and Move Over!" Review the CRSW 2025 Outreach Toolkit to learn more about social media messaging and other key resources. About Zero Fatalities:

Nevada’s Zero Fatalities Program is all about eliminating fatalities on Nevada roadways. Some people may think zero is an impossible goal, but when it comes to your family and friends, what other number would be acceptable? We're aiming for zero because everyone matters. The road to zero targets key behaviors like buckling up, being pedestrian and motorcycle safe, eliminating impaired driving, focusing on the road, and stopping on red.
