Kevin Cleghorn has served the Saline County Coroner’s Office since 2007, beginning as a Deputy Coroner before being elected Coroner in 2015. Under his leadership, the office has expanded to a team of full‑time and part‑time professionals serving a county population of 130,000. Community Recognition Spotlight! 🗝️

The City of Green Isle, Minnesota recently honored their local Medicolegal Death Investigators with a powerful gesture — a Key to the City — in celebration of MDI Professionals Week.

In a mayoral proclamation, Mayor Shane Sheets recognized the critical work MDIs do every day: stepping into the hardest moments, uncovering truth, serving families, and supporting justice — often behind the scenes, but always with purpose.

These professionals work in the shadows, stepping into difficult scenes to find answers for families and ensure justice is served. It is a heavy job, but one that is vital to the health and safety of our community.

👏 Thank you to the City of Green Isle for shining a light on the essential work of medicolegal death investigation professionals — and to every MDI who serves with integrity, science, and compassion.

You are seen. You are appreciated. You matter.
