I hope you will join me and a host of incredible colleagues as we have the hard, but critical conversations about criminal justice and mental health. Check it out August 6-7th at UNLV. Dr. Belay Reddick has said this about it:
"People with mental illness are overrepresented in our nation’s jails and prisons.
We're launching the 2025 Criminal Justice Mental Health Conference (CJMHC-2025) to address reentry and mental health needs. As we know, improving mental health outcomes is closely linked to reducing the likelihood of recidivism and achieving successful community reintegration.
When it comes to mental health, there's no Black versus White. The CJMHC-2025 acknowledges that mental health affects all of us--free and locked up.
This is the beginning of a new reentry culture--one where honesty is strength, togetherness is instinctive, and shame is a memory. In a time of uncertainty, let's connect, reflect, and move the needle to a comprehensive and forward-thinking framework for systemic change.
The 2025 Criminal Justice Mental Health Conference is August 6-7, in extravagant Las Vegas at University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV). Don't forget to Mark Your Calendar! To learn more, visit us at www.cjmhconference.com.
