Grand Montecito was thrilled to welcome our local library to our coummunity this week. The Centennial Hills Library graciously visits our community monthly, bringing joy, enrichment, and artistic inspiration to our doorstep! There's something magical about pairing imagination with creativity! Our Resident led Crafty Creators Committee paired with the library outreach program, and brought the magic to life with their handmade creations. The crafts were bursting with color as our Residents had a blast working with the soft, fluffy pom-pom balls! The activity SPARKED big smiles, hands on engagement, and moments of connection! Happy National Pet Photo Day! Grand Montecito Memory Care celebrated with a visit from Cali The Therapy Beagle and our Resident led Adventurers Committee took a recent outing to visit some of their furry friends! Animals can enhance emotional well-being, social connections, and can SPARK positive memories, bringing comfort and joy! We'd love to share more pet photo moments with you. With the summer heat in full swing, Grand Montecito's Resident led Creative Cuisine Crew is on a mission to find cool, tasty summer treats for the community! Last week the Creative Cuisine Crew whipped up some Frozen Banana Yogurt Pops! The Residents inserted popsicle sticks into the banana halfs and coated them with yogurt and the topping of their choice...chocolate chips, of course! Lastly, the Banana Yogurt Pops went into the freezer for a few hours and were ready just in time for a refreshing afternoon snack on a hot summer day! Wondering what the Creative Cuisine Crew will whip up next? Stay tuned....or share your cool summer treat ideas with us! We'd love to hear your favorites and maybe give them a try! Our Resident led Crafty Creators and Spark Decorating Squad are bringing the red, white, and blue to Grand Montecito! From painting USA letters provided by Brighton Hospice to modge podging star centerpiece bases for our dining room, along with paper fireworks and foam airplanes, their creativity and spirit have filled our community with patriotic pride! We can't wait to showcase all their fun crafts as we gather to celebrate Independence Day together! Hope to see you there!

Last week we gathered to celebrate our wonderful Residents born in June! We enjoyed magnificent cake from our sponsor, Amanda of Senior Doc, and live music from saxophone player and singer, David Lewis. Our Residents clapped and sang along to the familiar tunes of the past, while gobbling up the scrumptious birthday cake. Happiest Birthday Wishes to Residents Colleen and Nancy! Here's to another year of joy, memories, and togetherness!

Our Tuesday traditions at Grand Montecito Memory Care keep getting sweeter! The Resident led Adventurers Committee enjoy a weekly outing for tasty treats and a visit to Trader Joe's, picking up donated blooms for floral arranging. The Resident led Bloom Brigade Floral Arranging Committee create stunning bouquets with vibrant colors and fresh scents to spread throughout our community. It's definitely become a favorite time of connecting and getting creative with our Residents!

Our Resident led Crafty Creators Committee have been hard at work making vibrant paper fireworks to decorate our community for our upcoming 4th of July BBQ Celebration! With patriotic pride, they're bringing the sparkle indoors! Don't forget to RSVP to this upcoming event, happening Thursday, July 3rd at 12pm! Last week our Fun Friday Club was in Full Flavor at Grand Montecito Memory Care! Our amazing Resident led Creative Cuisine Crew whipped up some delicious graham cracker goodies, just in time for Happy Hour! Along with the sweet treats, Lifestyle Director, Shannon got Happy Hour started with Dole Whip cocktails and mocktails. What a fabulous day and a sweet reminder that joy is often homemade!

With a stop along the way at Pink Donuts, it was a beautiful day of fun, connection, and sweet treats! We are so proud of our Resident Ambassadors for taking the lead in making everyone feel welcomed and included in our Resident led Committees and in our Community!
