Care teams at Sunrise and Sunrise Children’s Hospital wore pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month — honoring survivors, supporting those currently fighting, remembering those lost and inspiring hope for a cure. 🩷

The Breast Center at Sunrise Hospital is using this month to remind women age 40 and older about the importance of scheduling annual mammograms. With approximately one in eight women diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, early detection through routine breast health checkups can save lives.

🧡 Today we observe the 1 October tragedy in Las Vegas that forever changed our community. We remember those who passed and those who survived. We honor and thank our first responders, the entire medical community, and our care team at Sunrise Hospital for the lifesaving care they provided that night to over 250 patients. We also recognize the critical contribution of our sister facilities MountainView and Southern Hills Hospitals who mobilized colleagues, supplies and support to help care for the injured.

According to Red Cross, approximately 29,000 units of red blood cells are needed every day in the U.S. Just like family, we pull together to care for and support our community.

This month, we partnered with American Red Cross of Nevada to host a blood drive. We were able to collect 19 units of blood.
