Today was an incredible day at the Women Veterans Conference at the Legislative Building here in Las Vegas. We had the privilege of connecting with more than 200 women veterans while sharing the mission and services of HeadsUp.
Throughout the day, powerful conversations centered around the future of veteran healthcare, with a strong focus on expanding resources and improving care for women veterans. Leaders spoke about important policy changes, new opportunities coming to veteran healthcare, and the continued work being done to ensure those who have served receive the support they deserve.
We were also honored to hear remarks from Senator Jackie Rosen, who spoke about ongoing legislative efforts and the importance of strengthening programs and access to care for veterans across our state and nation.
In recognition of the incredible impact of women who have served, Governor Joe Lombardo issued a proclamation declaring March as Women’s Military History Month in the State of Nevada — a meaningful reminder of the courage, leadership, and sacrifices made by women in the military.
Beyond the speakers and discussions, the networking throughout the day was truly incredible. Providers, organizations, advocates, and veterans came together to build connections, share resources, and strengthen the community that supports those who have served.
At HeadsUp, we were proud to be part of these conversations and to share how our team of providers continues to support veterans through accessible mental health services, specialized programs like our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and a deep commitment to caring for those who have given so much.
Days like today remind us that when communities, leaders, and providers come together with a shared mission, real progress happens.
We are grateful to have been part of such an inspiring event and look forward to continuing the work of supporting our veterans — especially the incredible women who have served our country.
