The secret to a bomb at-home burger?🍔 ⁣

HIGH QUALITY MEAT🥩 ⁣
⁣..but seriously, it’s that simple.!

When we make burgers at home with grass-fed ground beef, we barely have to do ANYTHING to them & they turn out better than most restaurant burgers💯!!

Here are the burger tips from for a perfect grass-fed burger:⁣

1. don’t overwork the meat - simply form patties & let them be⁣
2. heavy salt on each side 🧂 ⁣
3. cook hot & fast 🔥 - we bbq (and by ‘we’ I mean ) for ~3 minutes on each side for a perfect medium burger⁣!

Add your favorite condiments, we like or ketchup, lettuce wrap it and add sweet potato fries and you are G2G! 🙌🏼⁣

EASY KETO GARLIC CAULIFLOWER MASH
..Is the 🔑 to making your steak-night, date-night healthy AF: grass-fed steak (love )🥩 + easy veggies + low-sugar wine🍷 (loving ) + garlicy buttery cauliflower mashed ‘potatoes’ 💥⁣

Trust us you’re gonna wanna save this one! Tag someone in the comments you want to make this with💞 ⁣

Have you guys tried cauliflower mashed "tatoes"? ⁣

CAULIFLOWER MASH RECIPE👇🏼⁣
*serves 4 ⁣

↠ chop 2 heads of cauliflower into florets & steam or boil until very soft (I boiled for ~10 minutes then strain to remove all excess water)⁣

↠ in a sauce pan, mash cauliflower until all large chunks are removed. you can also blend for a creamy mash, but we like the texture👌🏼⁣

↠ over low heat, stir in 2 tbsp olive oil & 2-3 tbsp grass-fed butter, we love - affordable & you can find it anywhere now).

↠ stir in 1 tsp each black pepper / salt /garlic powder & 2-3 tbsp chopped chives ⁣or fav fresh herb.

↠ taste & adjust seasonings as needed! sometimes we like to go extra hard on the garlic & black pepper - and always serve with more chopped chives!

↠ lol, or you could just buy the prepackaged frozen cauliflower mash & prepare as above after heating! ⁣⁣💃

These are the numbers of those that were taken from us on September 11, 2001!

Our country changed forever that day & in the following days! Where there was terror & unimaginable destruction, we saw a growing wave of patriotism, love for the unknown dead, neighborhoods with flags flying high, people from so many different backgrounds who became one...one in LOVE, PRIDE & DEDICATION to our country...OUR COUNTRY...AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

A total of 2,996 people were killed in the 9/11 attacks! Citizens of 78 countries died in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.

At the World Trade Center, 2,763 died after the two planes slammed into the twin towers. That figure includes 343 firefighters and paramedics, 23 New York City police officers and 37 Port Authority police officers who were struggling to complete an evacuation of the buildings and save the office workers trapped on higher floors.

At the Pentagon, 189 people were killed, including 64 on American Airlines Flight 77, the airliner that struck the building. On Flight 93, 44 people died when the plane crash-landed in Pennsylvania.

Let's talk about loving your body and weight-loss goals...

Is it just us or does it feel like somewhere along the line those became mutually exclusive?

The message we get from social media lately is if you love your body, you should accept it exactly as it is, and not try to change it. And if you want to change your body, you must not love yourself.

We call BS😝! We're ALL for body acceptance and loving yourself exactly as you are, but that DOES NOT MEAN you can’t have goals!! Striving for self improvement is not bad, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting change! ⠀

But the 🗝️ is to approach those goals from a place of self-love. It’s OKAY to work for those abs, as long you’re not placing your self-worth on whether or not you have them! ⠀
It’s so easy for our self-worth to get tied up in our physical appearance, and it takes some REAL work to get to a place where we can love our bodies exactly as they are RIGHT THIS MOMENT, and STILL be able to have goals and work to make it better!

This is hard. It’s really hard. But when you can get to that place of loving yourself FULLY, it lets you approach your fitness goals from SUCH a different (and better!) place. You eat right and workout because YOU LOVE YOURSELF!⠀

It’s not easy, and it’s something we also will always have to work at, but it's worth it! 🖤

No better place than the beach for my soul but travel can throw a wrench into a healthy lifestyle!! It’s unpredictable, stressful, and resources can be limited.

Before we leave on a trip we like to create a set of guidelines that allows us to honor our health and wellbeing while giving us the freedom to enjoy our travels!

When sticking to your healthy routine is important to you, one misstep can cause that self-sabotaging “all or nothing” mentality to take over & derail the rest of your vacation, and leave you feeling like crap...and that’s no way to enjoy a trip!

Take those few minutes, get a game plan together so you predetermine what you will and won’t eat or do, eliminating the stress and guilt of sticking to your carefully crafted wellness routine and R E L A X!!! ✨

LOW SUGAR CACAO ACAI BOWL🥥

We think it's safe to say everyone loves acai bowls right? They taste like candy, they’re instagramable AF and they make you feel like a GD vision of health.

Well, unfortunately ALOT of acai bowls from restaurants are basically just giant bowls of sugar!! Yes, alot of it is “natural sugar” (honey, fruit, dates) but it all breaks down to the same glucose and fructose your body! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now we're definitely not saying all fruit is ‘bad’ but a bowl made with multiple bananas, honey (or worse agave!), dates, topped with MORE bananas and sugar-filled granola?

➡️ It is ALOT of sugar! The thing about sugar and carbs (from any source) is that your body can only handle so much at one time. It will store some in your liver, more in your muscles, but any remaining glucose that doesn’t have a home? Your body has to STORE IT AS FAT...read that again! ⬅️ 👀

We're passionate about exposing these things bc we used to eat acai bowls quite frequently, believing it was the healthiest thing we could ever eat, and then would have a massive blood sugar spike and crash and be craving more sugar in a couple hours, and would be frustrated and confused why such a “healthy” food was making me feel like s**t a few hours later. We know better now...even as health & fitness professionals we're always learning! ⠀

BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS...plain acai berry has ZERO sugar and only 3 net carbs! So by making acai bowls at home, you can still enjoy the deliciousness and antioxidant benefits of acai berries, without the sugar overload!

👉🏼DO IT
• BLEND 1 packet unsweetened acai (Trader Joe's has a great version!) 2 scoops protein powder 1 tbsp almond butter, 1.5 tbsp cacao powder, 2 tbsp chia seeds soaked in 1/2 cup of milk of choice, handful of spinach (optional), pink salt & stevia to taste.
• TOP with unsweetened coconut flakes, h**p seeds, blueberries (a very low sugar fruit!) and any other seeds or nuts if you’re feelin it!💃🏻
