It was a wonderful weekend teaching Healing Touch Level 1 to this great group of UMC employees. I am so thankful that our hospital embraces integrative therapies and holistic nursing. It is important to empower staff and educate them on holistic ways that they can use to incorporate into their care of patients. Healing Touch is also a great way to help support staff. It can help with pain, nausea, anxiety, tension, and stress. It has also been shown to help decrease cortisol levels and boost the immune system!
