EyeCare4Kids would like to give a shout out to all of the incredible people who volunteer every single day at the Giving Machines in Downtown Summerlin and The District in Green Valley! The entire campaign would not be possible without you! And I was lucky enough to spend Tuesday evening with my new friends Kevin, Leslie, Allison and John...thank you!! ❤🤍💚

Such an amazing and emotional evening at the Giving Machine at Downtown Summerlin last night as we stood with Kim and her family while she took the 777 Challenge, purchasing one of every item in honor of her father who recently passed away. She remarked that it is absolutely what he would have wanted her to do. We thank you Kim, and everyone who stopped by to donate, for your incredible generosity! ❤

We truly appreciate the support in our efforts to provide vision care for our young vulnerable patients. Today is World Sight Day! And the theme for 2025 is . All individuals are urged to unite under three core actions:

Check- commit to and facilitate regular eye examinations
Protect- adopt vision friendly habits and early interventions
Advocate- demand equitable, high-quality eye care services everywhere

Remember to prioritize regular eye check-ups and adopt preventive practices, like minimizing screen time, using proper lighting, and wearing UV-protective eyewear. Take care of those peepers, friends!! 😎👁❤

On behalf of everyone at EyeCare4Kids, we would like to express our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Elaine Wynn. Along with countless other nonprofits, we are incredibly honored to be recognized and supported by Elaine for the work we do in the community. However, it is the work of Elaine, and the Elaine P. Wynn & Family Foundation, that shines bright and we know her legacy will forever endure. A quick story about Elaine…EyeCare4Kids was fortunate to be included in the Light the World Giving Machine campaign and Elaine and Punam made a visit one evening at Downtown Summerlin. As the photographer was gathering the charity representatives for a photo with Elaine, a young boy wandered over to her and said, “All of these people want a picture with you. Are you someone important?” And, without missing a beat, Elaine responded, “Not nearly as important as you,” and then gave him a hug and asked him to stay in the picture. Forever a true champion for children ❤

EyeCare4Kids would like to send a huge thank you to our friends at United Way of Southern Nevada, as well as the folks at United Way of Northern Nevada, Nevada Grant Lab and NV Energy for coordinating a fantastic nonprofit day at the Nevada Legislature on Wednesday! Such a great opportunity to connect with our elected officials, spend time with friends and create some new relationships, while highlighting the work of the nonprofit sector in our state.

In honor of Women’s History Month, EyeCare4Kids would like to share the phenomenal accomplishments of Dr. Patricia Bath. Receiving her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., Dr. Bath became the first woman to chair an ophthalmology residency program in the United States. As an inventor and laser scientist, she eventually created a device called the laserphaco probe, which removes cataracts. After five years of research and testing, the invention came to fruition and is still used today. Thank you, Dr. Bath, for your outstanding contributions to vision care!
