Just do it. Spay and neuter your pets. There are important health benefits to your pet, it prevents you from contributing to the overpopulation of homeless animals and IT’S THE LAW.
There are low cost options… Hearts Alive Village Animal Clinic, Heaven Can Wait Animal Society, Spay & Neuter Center of Southern Nevada, Animal Foundation Clinic for example, and other organizations that will assist with the cost. There is literally no excuse (unless your pet has a valid medical reason for not undergoing surgery).

Do you recognize any of these animals? They all came into the shelter as lost pets. Do you know who they belong to? We have 533 animals in the shelter, and we have taken in 261 lost pets just this past week. Here is what YOU can do to help the animals in our shelter:

🐾 If you find a healthy, friendly dog, try to reunite them with their family before bringing them to the shelter.

🐾Foster! Learning how an animal acts in a home helps us get them adopted more quickly. Just a couple weeks in a foster home makes a HUGE difference.

🐾Register your pet on lost.petcolove.org. Petco Love Lost uses facial recognition to report or search for lost dogs and lost cats nationwide.

🐾Adopt! Many of our adoptable pets are fee-waived. A $10 license fee may apply.

Please remember, if your lost pet is at The Animal Foundation, we are willing to work with you on reclaim fees if you can not afford them. Our goal is to reunite pets with their families whenever possible.
