How long is too long for surgery? 🤔

The most important factor is your overall health 🩺

Before combining procedures under general anesthesia, we evaluate whether you are medically optimized and a good candidate.

In an outpatient ambulatory surgery center, I typically limit operative time to about six hours ⏱️

This aligns with established safety guidelines and helps reduce anesthesia-related risks.

If a procedure requires a longer operative time, it is safer to perform it in a hospital setting 🏥 with overnight observation for added monitoring and support.
