I LOVE what I Doula…….. the sweetest part of being a doula is the amazing families that I get to support. Each birth brings a new set of experiences but most importantly my clients become family. I’m a doula and I’m also a mom. When I’m not supporting a family during birth…….. this is my life. I’m usually at the pool or dance studio, my husband is at the soccer field. Dividing and conquering is the name of the game!

Happy 1st birthday to this doula baby! I also helped to welcome her older brother 5 years prior. So this was a special birth. We expected that she was going to come fast and furious like her brother did. (I caught her brother before the midwife arrived) But she gave us a different birth story. This was a long birth and she was taking her time. We had decided to transport to hospital for mom to get some relief and some rest. The 10 min car ride to the hospital did the trick. As soon as we arrived at the hospital she made her entrance within minutes. Apparently all mommy needed was a car ride to get baby in the perfect position 😜. I will always be connected to this family and it’s always an honor to support families more than once. Happy 1st birthday Reine and this year watching you grown has been phenomenal. Love your doula!

TWINS!!! For the past few months I’ve been occasionally helping to support a family that welcomed twins. On this day I was keeping an eye on babies and doing some light housekeeping as mom spent some time with big sister (3 yrs old) and also try to squeeze in a little nap. Just a friendly reminder that I offer more than just labor services! There are many ways a doula can support you. Maybe you need a good nights rest after baby is home. Maybe you need an extra set of hands around the house so you can focus on bonding with baby. Maybe you want to be prepared for your birth but don’t feel like you need a doula present. Happy 1st Birthday!!!! This doula baby of mine turned 1 this month! This was a client I supported virtually. They are not local to Las Vegas. She made her way earth side all the want in Georgia. I was there every step of the way. Did you know that I can support even if we are not in the same city! How did you spend your 4th of July? Part of my holiday was spent participating in the patriotic parade with my daughter’s swim team. I unexpectedly ran into one of my doula babies and her family. She just turned 6 and I can’t believe how fast time has gone! Aren’t her eyes beautiful?

Today is World Doula Day which marks the beginning of World Doula Week. This is a a week long celebration recognizing the positive impact that doulas have on the health and well being of birthing families. I’m so honored to have been chosen to be a part of many birth stories! I love what I doula! I also love every one of my doula families!! Congratulations to the French family and the arrival of their beautiful baby girl Amaiya-Rose! I had the honor of supporting this couple as they welcomed their very first baby. Even though this picture only shows me in the background, their support team was much larger. They had a room full of love! They even had a grandmother in the room she was there to welcome her very first great-grandchild. When baby entered the world there was not a dry eye in the room. The bursting and outpouring of love was beautifully suffocating! I caught the moment she entered the world on camera and from behind the camera I was also full of joy and tears. It was so beautiful to witness and I know this beautiful baby girl’s journey through life moving forward, LOVE will always take center stage.
