It may feel like it was resolved, but then all of a sudden the pain and tension show up in a different area.

So you got relief in the original problem area, but that caused a problem somewhere else.

We don't want your relief to just be temporary.

We want to actually correct the problem so that it can go away for good.

If you’re training in Las Vegas and already feel tight before your workout even starts… there’s a reason.

Most of the people I work with are disciplined. They take care of themselves. They stretch. They try to recover well.

And still, something feels off.

If your pelvis, ribcage, and shoulders aren’t really lined up well, your body starts compensating early. So by the time you begin your workout, it’s already working harder than it should be.

That’s why the stretching helps for a minute… but never really sticks.

Golfers, tennis players, pickleball players, lifters — if you feel restricted before round one or rep one, it’s not random.

It’s structural. And it’s fixable.

Do you feel like your body hasn’t fully let go of past injuries… even though they happened a long time ago?

In your mind, you’ve moved on.
But you still feel it in your body.

An old ankle injury.
A car accident from years ago.

Maybe you don’t even feel it exactly in that same spot anymore… but something still feels off.

When the body doesn’t fully heal something, it adapts. It will tighten to protect and compensates.

Like one of my mentors used to say, *the story of our life is in our fascia — it’s in our body.*

Over time, that protection starts to feel like stiffness, tension, or pain that just won’t move through.

This week’s blog is all about that — why your body can still feel off even when you think you’ve healed.

That’s the deeper pattern that hasn’t unwound yet. And that’s the work I help people with.

Do you need to level up your shoulders? This is an oldie… but a goodie.

This is one of my favorite shoulder exercises — and I used this to rehab my broken arm. I still use it today.

Whether you’re rehabbing a shoulder injury, working at a desk all day, or using your hands, arms, and upper body constantly, this one is simple and powerful.
It strengthens the entire shoulder complex — especially the scapular area that supports everything your arm does.

Move slowly.
Start from the left hip and travel up to the right shoulder. As you move, rotate your hand and arm so your thumb points toward your pelvis at the bottom… and points back behind you at the top.

Control it. Don’t rush it.
Make sure to do both sides.

Your pelvis doesn’t hold tension the same way on both sides.

In this video I’m showing a few different variations of pigeon to help you access tightness, stiffness, and deeper tension through the hips and pelvis.

Take this at your own level. Play with it. Move slowly. Breathe.

If you tried the floor sitting position from a few days ago — the one with both knees pointing the same direction — and one side felt much harder than the other, that’s useful information.

Spend a little more time in pigeon on that tighter side. Let the tissue soften. Don’t force it.

Then go back to that original sitting position and notice what changed.

This is how you start teaching your body to move differently — not by cranking into it, but by exploring and releasing what’s actually restricted.

This is not massage.

If you keep getting massages and your tightness keeps coming back, there’s a reason why.

Fascial bodywork is meant to get to the root cause of your problem — not just rub the spot that hurts.

The areas in your body that feel tight and painful? Those are usually the symptom of a deeper imbalance.

To quote Ida Rolf, the founder of Structural Integration: “Where it is, it isn’t.”

What that means is where you’re feeling it in the body is not where it’s coming from.
The body doesn’t just break down randomly. It adapts. It compensates over time. And eventually, the area that’s working the hardest starts to have problems.

If we only address the area where the problem is, the pattern stays the same. The problem stays there.

When we address the deeper imbalance — the structure, the fascial restriction underneath — the tightness stops needing to come back.

This isn’t about temporary relief.

It’s about changing the pattern so your body can finally move the way it’s meant to.

So you think you’re just getting older.

All this stiffness, tightness, tension, and pain must be how it has to be now that you’re older.

That’s typically not the case.

The reason we associate getting older with feeling worse — tighter, stiffer, more in pain — is because we’ve simply been on the planet longer. More has happened to our body over time.

If you’re feeling tight, stiff, and in pain, it’s usually because things have piled up. Injuries. Surgeries. Stress. Long hours of repetitive movement for your career or your workouts. These things have been accumulating in your body for years, and now they’re starting to show up as actual symptoms.

They’ve been there for a long time. Now you’re just starting to see the consequences.

Take heart — it’s not your fault.

Until you feel like there’s a problem, why would you even be looking for an answer to a problem you don’t know you have?

This is what I teach you about.

I teach you about moving in a different way. I teach you about releasing tension in the areas that have had repetitive use, injuries, or surgeries. I teach you about living in your body in a different way.

And I would love to teach you more about this.
