Like I've said before, we Las Vegans wear our gloves in the summer! Have Grandma carry a garden glove to help protect her against hot stair railings and door handles.

One thing to be cautious of when the temperature gets this hot is burns. Burn centers around the Southwest U.S. are seeing a rise in burn patients from hot surfaces, such as handles and asphalt: http://ow.ly/5pNq30cR3mo (via ABC News)
