Ever thought about growing your own produce? Well, the Tower Garden’s aeroponic system makes it easy! Anyone can do it if I can because I do not have a green thumb! Planted my seeds last Saturday and some of them are already big enough to be placed into their pods. Tomorrow I’ll get the water circulating with minerals and hope these little seedlings can make it in the 100+ degree heat! Let’s hope I have some fresh greens soon….Stay tuned!

•I got a news flash for ya... there is no ‘proper’ way anymore 🙄

•Those strawberries 🍓 you ate this morning? They were picked 2 weeks BEFORE they were ripe so they could ripen on the way to the store; even though the nutrients are grown in from the soil in the last 24-48 hours of the vine-ripening process - making them almost useless to the body by the time you eat them 😳

•The broccoli 🥦 you cooked last night with your chicken and rice? If you didn’t also eat tomato at the same time, you missed half the nutrients, not to mention all the nutrients you cooked out of it... 🤦🏻‍♀️

•The black currant, artichokes, papaya, cabbage, beets, elderberries, & kale you ate? Oh….what was that? You haven’t eaten any of those recently? 🤭

•With these gems ⬇️, we get 30+ different vine-ripened, NSF certified fruits & vegetables in our bloodstream every. single. day. That’s BETTER than organic, my friends, and we’re not just getting the flesh of the produce - we’ve got the pits, peels, seeds, & all. (did you know 80% of nutrition in an orange 🍊is in the peel?!) 😱

•So YES!!!! You CAN eat your fruits & veg the ‘proper’ way... you’ll just have to eat at least 12 of everything you eat to get the amount of nutrition your body needs! 🤷‍♀️

No, Muscle does not weigh more than Fat! By weight 5 lbs of Fat =5 lbs of Lean Muscle. BUT Fat does take up a lot more volume in size than Muscle! Anyone else out there dislike cooking but want to eat healthy? 😋 Here’s my favorite, simple go-to meal made in one pot!
1 can of organic black beans (or pinto), 1 -7oz container cooked organic brown rice, 1/2-3/4 jar of salsa, chopped cilantro & chopped onion to taste.
That’s it! Mix together, heat and simmer on stovetop until rice is soft. Serve in whole grain tortillas, taco shells, in salad or alone!

Boost your Immune System after Quaratine!:
As many areas across the US are preparing to phase people back into work it is so important that we all take responsibility to strengthen our immune systems so we don’t see a spike in the Virus again. It’s easy while in quarantine to eat a lot of the wrong foods, especially refined sugar. Sugar suppresses our immune response and creates inflammation in the body, weakening it!

What we DO need are lots of nutrient dense, raw fruits and vegetables! My recommendation is to eat plenty of servings each day AND supplement with clinically researched Juice Plus+ which makes it easy to get an additional 33 servings daily! There’s great info on it at terese.juiceplus.com!

Another VERY important supplement right now is Vitamin D! Levels are typically low in winter since many areas don’t get a lot of sunshine at that time. So get out in the sun as the days warm up and take a substantial amount of Vitamin D at least for the next month. It can help to stop the coronavirus from attacking the lungs if you do contract the virus. Oh and it’s harder for heavier and dark skinned people to absorb D from the sun so supplementation is even more important for them.

There are other specific things that will support a strong immune system but those are a few of my top 3!

Let’s all get back to work soon but until we that time, let’s prepare our bodies and give them the right ammunition they need to fight the virus if you should come in contact with it. DM if you have any questions!
