New Mexico Medicaid has received $211.5 million to strengthen rural health care statewide.
The funding, awarded through the federal Rural Health Transformation Program, will help expand rural health services, stabilize hospitals and clinics, support the health care workforce, and improve access to care across all 33 counties.
This investment will strengthen the facilities that serve as lifelines for rural and frontier communities and support new, community-based care models for New Mexicans.
