Congratulations to our senior class of 2025 for presenting their doctoral projects at our 4th annual conference! Some topics of discussion included:

- Unexpected Discovery of a Pseduocholinesterase Deficiency of a Patient Undergoing Routine Laproscopic Cholecystectomy

- Safety and Tolerability of a Carotid Endarterectomy in Awake Patients

- Anesthetic Management During Placement of Pulmonary Flow Restrictors in a Patient with Congenital Heart Disease

What a great weekend in Hershey!! 🍫 A few of our students participated in the mid year assembly at Capitol Hill and the PANA Spring Symposium. Shoutout to our program director, Mike Debroeck, who also gave a wonderful lecture during the conference! 👏

Two of our senior students had the opportunity to help out at the Masters of Medicine at St. Vincent College. High school students were able to learn about the field of nurse anesthesia and then had the chance to intubate with our glidescope! 🫁 🩺

We were excited to join the faculty of the Saint Vincent College School of Nursing in welcoming students from the upcoming freshman class. The undergraduate nursing program is looking forward to many amazing developments in the near future!

This weekend our program director, Mike Debroeck, and two of our senior students, Kishan and Manny, attended the UPMC sponsored event at Shadyside Hospital for prospective CRNA applicants. This networking event allowed current ambitious RNs to gain personal insight on the profession and education process. Mike’s discussion included “Making Yourself a Better Applicant”. Manny and Kishan were able to meet and greet roughly 90 prospective critical care nurses. Thank you UPMC for having us!

Area high school students were able to try their hands at some anesthesia skills with the help of our senior students. They practiced intubation, learned ultrasound technology, and what a CRNA does on a day to day basis.

We hope to have some future nurse anesthetists on our hands!

This week, we celebrated our SRNAs, alumni, and all the awesome CRNAs out there that show us every day what it truly means to be a nurse anesthetist.

Excela Health School of Anesthesia Class of 2024 with a dinner celebration at Rizzo’s Malabar Inn in Crabtree, PA. It was an emotional evening and a good time was had by all. This weekend, our graduates earned their Doctorate of Nurse Anesthesia Practice, after countless hours of hard work and dedication to the profession.

We are so excited to see where you go, and we could not be more proud! This will be one great group of CRNAs!
