This weekend our program director, Mike Debroeck, and two of our senior students, Kishan and Manny, attended the UPMC sponsored event at Shadyside Hospital for prospective CRNA applicants. This networking event allowed current ambitious RNs to gain personal insight on the profession and education process. Mike’s discussion included “Making Yourself a Better Applicant”. Manny and Kishan were able to meet and greet roughly 90 prospective critical care nurses. Thank you UPMC for having us!

Area high school students were able to try their hands at some anesthesia skills with the help of our senior students. They practiced intubation, learned ultrasound technology, and what a CRNA does on a day to day basis.

We hope to have some future nurse anesthetists on our hands!
