⨠Today marks day one of my Autoimmune Protocol (AIP) journey. āØ
For those who donāt know, I have Raynaudās syndrome along with an underlying primary autoimmune conditionāwhether itās lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, we donāt yet I am meeting with a rheumatologist here soon to get to the bottom of this. What I do know is that food is powerful, and while Iāll continue medical care, I also know and truly believe that diet is one of the strongest tools I have to feel better.
So, hereās the plan: a strict elimination phase. That means no dairy, gluten, or eggs. Iāll be avoiding nightshades, limiting red meat, and focusing more on fish and leaner cuts of meat (think Mediterranean). Will it be tough? Absolutelyāmainly because your girl LOVES cheese š§ābut Iām more tired of feeling achy than I am of giving up foods that donāt serve me.
Iāve built out a full plan and Iām excited to get started. At the end of the day, the best diet protocol is the one that works for your individual needs and that you can consistently follow. For me, after I turned 40 it has been a wake-up call: thereās just no room for ātrashā food or drinks anymore, I feel all of it, And honestly, Iām okay with thatāI like taking care of myself this way.
Hereās to healing, learning, and finding what truly works for my body. šŖšæ
