Coming to all of you on behalf of a sweet patient!! She needs prayer and Godly intervention. Please consider donating to this family. The following is Chloe’s journey. 💕
We’ve been on this journey with Chloe’s health for a few years now that started with stomach issues, headaches, achy legs, and popping ankles.
A year ago she had an upper GI scope that revealed a lot of inflammation and reflux. She was breaking out into hives daily and her food options were becoming less and less but with more and more pain. We proactively worked on her health and tried all that we could think of including alternative treatments. It didn’t help.
Things started slowly declining for her, but during the month of May is when we could see things changing more with her stomach issues and also with her ability to walk.
By August, she couldn’t walk anymore & needed sunglasses to shield her eyes from the indoor lighting so she could see.
In September, she couldn’t even stand or lift her arms over her head.
In October she was admitted to the hospital for 13 days and began receiving her food through a feeding tube. She now lives off of these liquid feedings for 20 hours a day. Peppermint suckers are her only treat because she can’t enjoy anything else by mouth. She finds comfort in these suckers because they help with her constant nausea.
She can’t lift her legs anymore and she has to be blind folded when leaving her bedroom due to extreme light sensitivity.
She has received a lot of diagnoses but nothing provides clear answers for why she can’t walk or use her eyes. Her body is locking up all over and more things are happening with her health. We have endless doctors including physical therapists and it is becoming clear by her medical team and their advice is that we may need to seek medical help outside of the state of Mississippi once a few more tests are completed and if a diagnosis isn’t found.
We’ve been working so hard and fighting for our girl daily, but here we are. It’s hard to believe that just months ago Chloe was jumping in the lake, swimming in a pool, helping me make sushi, working a job, & cleaning her room, etc.
We appreciate prayers for healing and for a diagnosis with treatment options. Once a diagnosis is found, she will need inpatient rehab outside of Mississippi. She also needs surgery for compressed arteries in her stomach, but she has to be able to walk before that happens.
We need much wisdom and clarity in the days ahead as we make decisions about the best route to take and for the timing of everything. Pray for her amazing doctors who are doing all they can to help us. We long for Chloe to live life again to the fullest. We are thankful for our amazing church, family, and community of friends. The Lord is sustaining us each day. 🩷 🌻 Chloe is 17. 2 Chronicles 20:12. Isaiah 41:10
Austin and Amanda Griffin are her parents. Donations can be dropped by or sent to the clinic. 516 North Magnolia Street. Laurel 39440. Thank You!! I think I should add… due to the responses. Her parents have exhausted every avenue of treatments. Chloe has been to several doctors “main stream and functional medicine”. I appreciate all of your advice, but I can’t respond to each one. Please continue to share!! 🌻
