Gentle Hands Reiki

Gentle Hands Reiki offers clients the opportunity to experience wellness though their body's own healing abilities.

My name is Jessica Sharp and I am a Certified Reiki Master practicing Traditional Japanese Technique Reiki based in Laurel, MD. I am delighted to have completed my Master Certification following a one-year training program and eager to bring the transformative healing power of Reiki to my clients. I named my practice “Gentle Hands” because I find myself saying that a lot to my children, especially my toddler son. As he explores the world around him he is simply bursting with excitement, and sometimes a little too forceful. As I deepen my Reiki practice, I notice that we can all be a little too hard on our bodies and our souls sometimes. It is my hope that my ‘gentle hands’ can both soothe my clients and inspire them to be gentle with themselves.

A skip hop up to Mount Union, PA yesterday to hang with these beauties (and Dan and Grammy.) is the only friend I’ve ever made in a comments section and wow, what a blessing that she visits from Britain every year so we get to see each other IRL!!!

My friend Sandra and I did a silly impromptu photo shoot in front of the Girls Night Out selfie book wall this morning because we were all too busy to do it last night. 📖 She insisted on dramatic poses 💃 but I was too busy laughing. 😂 outdid themselves with this one! And yes, I’m back on my bullsh*t of using vintage lunchboxes as purses because I’m an adult and I do what I want.

Share request! When I was a new, unsure mom struggling with post-partum depression Healthy Families Howard County was a literal lifeline. They offered a new mom support group, home help visits, and answers to question after question, soothing for worry after worry. (And I’m still friends with some of the moms in my cohort - right, ?! 😂)

Each county offers a chapter of Healthy Families that supports new parents and families, and I’m honored to be invited to host a wellness workshop as part of this Baltimore County event. Please share this with your networks, especially those first-time parents!

I’ll be there offering info sessions on energy healing for pre- and post-natal care, 4th trimester nervous system health for parent and baby, and co-regulation techniques.
