Happy International Women’s Day!!
While we love all of the amazing women in our lives, we want to give a special shout out to the McAuliffe Matriarch, Theresa!

In addition to being the most kind and caring woman we know….
Theresa was married to a chiropractor for 57 years, she has five children who are chiropractors, four grandchildren chiros and is the (literal) backbone of this entire family!

Needless to say… we wouldn’t be here without her!

Let’s Talk X-Rays!

Here at MCO we ALWAYS take a set of x-rays before we EVER adjust someone.

Why?

X-rays can give us a better look at what is really going on with your spine and show us any injuries that may be hiding.

Take our foster pup Pandora for example. The day we brought her home from the shelter she was walking a littleeee funny on her right leg. We were told it was probably growing pains. Turns out she had an undiagnosed fracture from WEEKS earlier 😫.

With x-rays we were able to get a real look at what was causing her limp, and now little Pandy has an (adorable) cast and is on the road to recovery!

We’re always thankful for x-rays in situations like this AND with our patients. It helps us provide the best care possible to everyone who comes in our door!

Now, let’s talk about the worst type of hump there is…. The dreaded text neck hump.
So many of us spend all day looking down at our phones and tablets… which can lead to a case of “Tech Neck”

In addition to being bad for your spine, this condition can cause neck pain, stiffness and severe headaches.

So next time you’re scrolling through Instagram… make sure to give your neck a break and head in to see your family chiropractor for a much-needed adjustment! 😄
