Our generation is AFRAID of Vulnerability…
And I get it. For much of our lives we’ve been told that we are “too much” of something.
We’re too short, too fat, too broke, too loud etc.
As a result most of us are afraid to even try to go after our goals and those that do end up setting the bar extremely low.
Author Brene Brown, who has written many books on vulnerability, said it best when she wrote:
“Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it's having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome. Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.”
Vulnerability is:
• Starting over after that failed business
• Recommitting to a healthier lifestyle after fallen off your ideal weight
• Saying ‘yes’ to love again after previous heartbreaks
• Promoting your products and getting crickets
• Asking for help
• Having Faith
Allowing yourself to be vulnerable is about embracing dicomfort and using it in a way to enhance your life experience
1. DARE TO SHOW UP no matter how uncomfortable, unprepared or unqualified you feel like you may be. Showing up is half the battle
2. BE FLEXIBLE. Sometimes the goals that we want to achieve won’t be reached in the way we expected. Be open to new ideas. It will always be worth it
3. BELIEVE that you are worthy of all you are striving for. You are enough. You are enough. You are enough!
